Host was very attentive and helpful when it came to keeping us posted on the weather and road conditions. Also provided great restaurant recommendations. House was lovely. We enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed staying here, very comfortable and peaceful location. Lots of outdoor hiking and site seeing in the area. Host was very accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed the listing. We will definitely come back again. Pet friendly and very quiet.
It was a nice stay. I met the host, Gloria, who lives on the property. She is a very friendly host. It was very quiet and comfortable. I would recommend this listing to others.
We had a wonderful stay at Knight's View! Gloria was easy to communicate with and flexible about check-in times, as we had our dogs with us. The cabin was cute, well cared for, and exactly what we were looking for with our last-minute trip. The house was well stocked with linens and Gloria left us some groceries, so we didn't have to make a trip. I would absolutely stay here again!
This location is absolutely beautiful, about 20 minutes out from town in the mountains. The home was spacious, with a beautiful bedroom containing two beds. The King was incredibly comfortable, with lots of blankets and pillows provided. Incredible sleep. We took advantage of the gas fireplace which warmed us up. Getting cozy in the recliner and watching Bob Ross was amazing. The host was incredible, providing a clean environment and no-frills check-in / check-out experience. Overall, we had an amazing time, and hope to revisit at some point!
Very quite and quaint home perfect for experiencing Mountain life, if you are not familiar with the area make sure you arrive when the sun is still up. It makes navigating those mountain roads a lot easier and ensures you don't run into too many wild animals. The host is very helpful and has excellent communication. The porch has a beautiful view out and into the mountains and plenty of outdoor seating areas to chill out.
A cozy and quiet place with a beautiful view nestled in the mountains and the plants around the home were in bloom…very attractive. There were all kinds of birds at the feeders and two deer graced us with their presence the last evening we were there.
Gloria is a great host and it was especially nice we could have our dog with us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Gloria is amazing, very communicative and stayed in close contact anytime we needed her for questions. We always felt welcome, as did our dogs! We had plenty of room to have our son and his wife and our 3 grandbabies over for a belated Christmas. The cottage is very close to getting to town and having dinner, stopping by for groceries or just to go for a drive. We even got snow while we were here! It was so beautiful and the fireplace makes the whole place feel so cozy and comfortable. We were never without anything we needed. It truly felt like staying at a close relatives place. This is a nice halfway point for us to see family, so we will be rebooking again in the future! Thanks so much for having us! We truly loved it here!
First of all, Gloria was great to communicate with. We spoke on the phone and texted each other when conversating and sharing info. She's very accommodating. We had a late check-in, but she had the Christmas
tree lit and the fireplace running. It was so pretty, the hearth with Christmas decorations and all the plants! The bed was comfy, the kitchen was stocked with food, and we were able to take our furbabies with us. I love the porch, the privacy, and the yard out back.
decorations, plants!nng
Our host was very welcoming and helpful once we arrived. She checked in via text occasionally to see if we needed anything and to ensure things were going well. She offered ideas for places to visit and shop. The kitchen is well-stocked. The place is very quiet--we had rain and wind for the first several days, but didn't hear it while sleeping. The king size bed is very, very comfortable for sleeping. The temperatures turned colder (mid-30's to upper 40's), and we were very comfortable with the gas fireplace heater in the living room and electric heater in the bedroom. The long porch offers a great view of the mountains (same view from the living room). We enjoyed watching a bright red male cardinal splashing in the bird bath on our last full day with sun shining. This place is surrounded by the beautiful Appalachian mountains, and the fall colors were spectacular! We had a nice, relaxing time.
Easy to find and a very peaceful setting. Gloria (owner) was very helpful and courteous during booking and throughout our stay. Would highly recommend staying.
Exactly what my husband was looking for in a getaway. The deer right outside the window were an added bonus. The host was super easy to work with and very sweet.
Lady was available and showed us the place. Stopped what she was doing and asked if we needed anything during the week. She had a issue with a leak and cleaned up the water.
This place is great, very cozy and warm. Absolutely love the chair and sofa, so comfy. We loved the back porch, despite the weather and our short stay we will most definitely be back when we have more time and can enjoy the area more. Hostess is great, very responsive and a delight to talk to. Very thoughtful. Loved every second.
My Wife and I stayed at the cabin for two nights, enjoying the peace and quiet that the wonderful deep forest provides. The cabin was clean, with an effective and easy to use gas heater. The bath/shower was modern and nice with good water pressure. The view of the valley and distant mountains was wonderful. The yard was well kept and pretty. We had some rain while we were there so we were not able to use the covered porch as much as we would have liked to. Our owner/agent made reserving and accessing the property easy. Cell service was a little spotty, but we were looking to get away. We did not use the TV at all, just read, talked and enjoyed the mountain atmosphere. Thanks for a great time.
