Great hotel close to the Port
Our check-in was very quick with the polite and efficient front desk agent. She promptly answered all questions that we had. The property is new and in very good condition with the location 2 blocks to the ferry port and approx. 6 blocks to the Center of town. We would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely perfect for being close enough to walk yet there were a number of reserved parking spots for us out front. The woman who worked during the day was THE nicest person. Loved everything about our stay and there was even a bakery just a few steps from the hotel for pastries and coffee. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We only stayed for one night, but LAVRIS was the perfect accommodation with even better service. Everything was set up when we arrived, and we ended up arriving later than expected during the night and had crystal clear instructions on how to get in. Even better was that I requested some wine and glasses be there waiting for our arrival, and they were gracefully provided as complimentary with the room. Also, when we missed our connecting flight, I frantically messaged my contact at the hotel and she helped me immensely by answering all of my questions and contacting the rental car company for me to let them know we would be arriving after they closed so that they would wait there for our plane to land. All around terrific experience.

Great experience!
The communications prior to visit were excellent. Upon arrival, the reception was welcoming, friendly and informative. The room was clean and they setup dinner reservations for us. Highly recommend this hotel!

Perfect location and Cretan friendliness
This hotel is perfectly located close to the ferry port, and airport bus stop a couple of steps away. The Heraklion Archeological museum is a 8 minute walk and Knosos palace a 15 minute drive. We had the Ariadne suite and it was spacious and clean. The service is top notch, Mary is so polite, professional and eager to help, she gave us plenty of advice on how to get around and some restaurant recommendations, but we ended up going to McDonald’s that is just around the corner ( 3 min walk) or the supermarket ( 3 min walk).

Dimitri and Mary made our stay exemplary, their attention to detail and expert suggestions on dining and getting around the island were incredibly helpful. Each day Mary checked in about breakfast and customized our breakfast based on our needs. I can’t recommend Lavris enough! We will be coming back for sure!

Very bad service from Hotels.com
Our stay at Lavris City Suites was outstanding but Hotels.Com let us down very badly with car hire arranged through them with AbbyCar from Heraklion Airport. Despite having all the necessary booking confirmation papers AbbyCar refused us a car without paying an extra 500 euros, on top of the full 196 GBP hire fee we had already paid. On trying to contact Hotels.com we kept getting the same message “booking reference not recognised” despite having their confirmatory email and reference in front of me. We will be taking legal action on return to UK and will never book with Hotels,com again unless contacted directly by them in order to resolve this situation and refund us the hire fee.

Would definitely come back to this property and recommend my family and friends to stay here. Bus station to and from airport is literally a stones throw away. Port is walkable and you can walk to center of city within 15 minutes. Host of the property was lovely and helpful. She answered all of our questions and had great suggestions around the property to visit and enjoy our meals at. 10/10

The staff were absolutely incredible and so kind. The location was great if you like quick walks where you are located 15 minutes from the docks or 10 minutes from the centre by walking. You have a taxi zone across the road and a supermarket near by which makes your stay that much easier if you need to quickly buy things or get places. The room was lovely and the hospitality was even better. Could not recommend more!

A very coveniently located hotel within walking distance to the port. Close also to the archeological museum - the main attraction in the city as far as I am concerned. The hospitality is exceptional, the wine and the marmelade was awesome! The hosts are very very nice. Definitely stay here particularly if you travel by boat.

Our stay was just one night but Mary was so nice in showing us to our room, how everything worked and made sure to let us know to ask her with any questions. The room was clean and had everything you needed. We didn’t get to explore the area because we were just staying the night but it seems like there are things to do and places to eat around the area.

Room was really modern and very clean, self check in process was a breeze. The bed was quite comfortable and the shower was amazing. Surprisingly quiet room even though it is located in a busy street, the sound proofing on the glass is really good. Staff was super nice and accommodating.

Clean, comfy, and friendly
Comfortable room with a big shower and nice quiet A/C. Free bottle of wine and bottles of water. Very helpful and friendly staff. Only issue that came up was the power went off one night and we were woken up by the extremely bright emergency exit lighting.

We stayed here one night following a long Crete trip to be close to the airport for an early flight and it worked for what we needed. Had we needed or wanted to stay in Heraklion longer I would have prefered a better location. Since there is no receptionist I was texted great instructions on how to locate the keys and room. The room was super updated and modern with a great shower which was a nice transition back to reality after being in traditional Greek accommodations and heading back to the states. Draw back of the room itself is having a key card for the power to everything. Without it in at all times everything shuts off....even the AC. ECO friendly but sweltering and takes a minute to cool the entire room down.

The room was lovely with some thoughtful extra touches like the wine and grandma’s sweets on arrival. Dimitris was very friendly and helpful and was quick to reply to any queries. The parking space is really useful in Heraklion as parking is a nightmare. The no. 2 bus to Knossos leaves from the bus stop across the road. I will definitely stay here again.

Location is super close to the main bus exchange and a short walk to the main ferry port. Really good option for those using Heraklion as a connection between Chania and the islands. Check-in was super easy. I thought this was a hotel but it's actually a small boutique - most all self-managed with no 24/7 reception. But everything was clean and easy and we appreciated the welcome bottle of wine.

Dimitris made it super easy to check in and out. Room was in perfect condition. Bathroom was perfectly clean and had Korres products. We did hear some street noise as we were only on the second floor. Black out shades were good. Next door to multiple cafes for breakfast. Easy 15 mins walk to the center of town for dinner.

Very friendly host. Very easy to get accurate information about suits, restaurants etc. Provided complementary bottle os excellent white wine, coffee and grapes. Parking provided in front. Very convenient. In many sense, this was the best accommodation we had in Crete.

Great Value Stay in Heraklion
Overall a great value. Service was very good, the host Dimitris was very nice and provided some nice extras. Perfect location just outside the old town and walking distance to the port. Excellent value and would strongly recommend for a stay in Heraklion
