We had the most wonderful time in our stay at Violet cottage.
We had the most wonderful time in our stay at Violet cottage. The cottage gives a feeling of home from home and the gardens are lovely. Jenny was so helpful and the village Community were welcoming. With the village pub just 50 yards away serving good food, what more can you ask. Loved it.

Lovely cottage, no criticisms whatsoever. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable, Tescos 5 minutes away and wonderful beaches within 10 minutes drive. Pub and shop were 1 minute walk from the house and a large quiet lawned garden to enjoy if you just want peace and quiet. The dog loved it as well !!

A great place for a quiet time away with my husband and the dog.
A great place for a quiet time away with my husband and the dog. We loved sitting all cosy with a proper log fire and the dog loved the garden which was big enough for her to run around in. Plenty of throws provided to prevent the dog getting mud on the furniture. The bed was comfortable. This is a good base for the area with everything you need within a short drive. If we could, we wood have happily stayed for good.

Lovely comfortable cottage with everything you need , except good reception/WiFi so would not be suitable for anyone looking to work from there but ideal if you want a screen break! Felt at home immediately and great for log fires in the evening, watching tv, reading books, scrabble etc. Lovely touch of bottle of wine, flowers and chocolates on arrival - we brought a range of basic stuff with us as not all rental properties provide everything but it was all there.

Beautiful cottage with a lovely garden and parking.
Beautiful cottage with a lovely garden and parking. Pretty much everything you need for the week, although a fan would be a great addition for the hot weather! Lovely, clean and cosy.
Ideal location for us to go between the broads and beaches, all within a short driving distance.
Would definitely recommend :)

Very clean and tidy, cute cottage with all the essentials.
Very clean and tidy, cute cottage with all the essentials. Friendly owner who left wine and chocolates as welcome gift. Lovely garden and open fire made it cosy. Info about local area would have been useful, mattresses on the firm side (we found them uncomfortably so!) but excellent value for money. We would definitely return.

This is a lovely little cottage.
This is a lovely little cottage. A great location for cycling, boating and the beach. Lots of interesting things to do and places to visit.
The cottage is clean and comfortable with a lovely, private garden at the back. It has everything you need for a busy, fun, self catering holiday.
The village shop is close by, open long hours and is good for basics.

A very nice place to stay.
A very nice place to stay. We really loved the fantastic garden because it was so quite and there was plenty of space for my son and I to play football. Catfield is also a fantastic broadland village to stay in as it is near all the boat yards, and with a nice supermarket just up the road at Stalham. And is also near a park. Norwich is within easy reach by using the Postwick park and ride just off the A47.

Cottage was nice, clean and some pretty flowers to welcome us.
Cottage was nice, clean and some pretty flowers to welcome us. However, was told 4 steps to property but it was actually eight. Not recommended for anyone who has trouble with stairs. I could only go out once a day and stay out. Once back home I had to stay. Thank goodness the garden was lovely and a nice size. No book was available regarding nearest Dr., vet, pubs that accept dogs, what could be recycled and day of collection etc. However it was in a nice location and easy to get anywhere, and was lovely and quiet.

Bijou cottage, no room to swing a cat in bathroom or kitchen but very good lounge diner.
Bijou cottage, no room to swing a cat in bathroom or kitchen but very good lounge diner. Bedrooms adequate. Garden superb. Sofas clapped out. T'stat control to remote boiler idiosyncratic. Needed to be set to 22/23 to achieve room temp of 20. Light bulbs not all working. Draughty single glazed windows. Needs updating and routine maintenance but still good value for money. Dog friendly, lots of garden birds, nesting when we were there. No wi fi, limited freeview channels. Pub very ordinary but friendly, looking as though time had passed it by, though up to the minute food prices for limited menu of typical pub grub!
