"We had a lovely break at Lodge Cottage. the location is so peaceful and the ground are amazing. we did not make use of the swimming pool, table tennis or snooker but it was nice to have the option. for us the location is a little too far inland as everything was booked up but that did not affect our break as we went out to the North Norfolk coast several times and Lottie our working cocker spaniel enjoyed a swim in the sea. "Beautiful old building and location right opposite the minster. We stayed in the Wenn Suite which was large and comfortable and great value for money. Our only disappointment was that the restaurant wasn't serving food after 6pm on the Sunday we arrived, as it all looked delicious! Hoping to return another time :)"

"Lovely 3 night stay. Rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. We booked two rooms and were assigned one in the courtyard and one in the main building. Bathroom in the courtyard room was significant bigger but otherwise rooms were comparable. Great location. Definitely recommend booking with breakfast included. The breakfast was delicious and included a cooked breakfast item from the menu as well as the buffet style yogurt, pastries, toast, fruit etc. The homemade compote was absolutely delicious!"

"Well, what can I say.... We booked into The Dabbling Duck last minute, having had a problem with our original booking elsewhere. Right from the moment we arrived, the whole experience was exceptional. The kind lady at reception had pre-emptively shuffled some rooms so we have a suitable room for our little Boston Terrier, and the garden room we stayed in was lovely, a good size and very tastefully and appropriately decorated. The very helpful and friendly staff even squeezed un into the fully booked restaurant both nights, showing a huge level of customer service which I find so rare in the UK these days. What can I say about the restaurant... I've eaten in 1,000s of restaurants over many years of business travel, and I have to say that this is right up there amongst my favourites. The setting is lovely, the decor and atmosphere just right, and the food was exceptional. Both my wife any I agreed that on both nights, the soup was possibly the best we've ever tasted, and the mains were exceptional too. I could ramble on for ages, however suffice to say, this little gem in Great Massingham is the best 'mistake' we've ever made. Well done to the management and staff which gave us such lovely memories. (The village is also lovely, and a hub for exploring the glorious countryside nearby)."

"Friendly lady in the reception/shop which was nice. The lodge was big and modern only let down by dirty carpets( various stains), dining room chairs and the settee. We also found the mattresses to soft. We didn’t complain as we were only there 3 nights but any longer then would be worth checking these things are sorted before booking. Good location, park nice and quiet."
