"If you're looking for a small-town English hotel experience, the GMH delivers. It captures "old world" charm, though it comes with unique quirks to be prepared for. We stayed in the massive “Hideaway” suite with 3 bedrooms and a living room. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, but it does show its age in "charming" ways. For example, there was a bit of sagging plaster on the ceiling and a hole behind a bookcase. The bathroom was large with modern fixtures and a great shower. The breakfast was a highlight. It’s served in a lovely room and included, allowing you to order a fresh breakfast off a menu. Jeremy, the manager, is very much a "character." He is very knowledgeable about the area and provided excellent local suggestions. He is clearly proud of his country and community. However, be prepared for a very dry, sometimes sharp English wit. As Americans, we had a few interactions that felt a bit "salty", including some unsolicited lessons on "proper" cutlery etiquette and comments about Americans in general. While some might find his sarcasm a bit jarring, we took it as part of the eccentric local experience. If you go in with a sense of humor and don't take the "instruction" personal, he adds a certain color to the stay that you won't find at a corporate chain. The on-site parking is a plus, and the location is excellent. If you enjoy a hotel with a strong personality, you’ll love it here. Just be ready for a bit of "education" on your table manners!"

"We had a really great stay here. The apartment is well situated, quiet (despite the main road) and well appointed. With the large windows there is plenty of light. And despite the cold weather, the flat was never cold. We appreciated the use of a high chair and bed for our 2 year old – plus the games, train set and books! Next time we come to Great Malvern, we hope to stay here. Many thanks."

"Very comfortable and well equipped, with a nice quiet location just a 5 minute walk to Malvern Priory and about 10 minutes to the woods and start of hill walks. I stayed for a week and thoroughly recommend this property. "

"Very well equipped, comfortable apartment close to the town centre. Off road parking was welcome. Just be aware that access from the parking is down an outdoor steel stairway of around 25 steps, not a problem for us. The views from the garden seating are amazing, looking across the valley. Great location for walking the Malvern Hills."

"Great location really close to the Malvern hills so we were able to walk straight from the door to some great views. The apartment itself was perfectly comfortable and we all slept well. The kitchen was missing a few basic items we would have found useful (wooden spoon, ice cube tray, washing up liquid, kitchen roll and cling film). We were however given dishwasher tablets but sadly never found the dishwasher! The apartment was generally clean but the windows could have done with some attention, and to pull the blinds you had to stand on a chair! "
