"Not realizing the waterpark wasnt part of the Expedia package I went ahead and called the resort and purchased $300 in waterpark tickets. On 16 April we arrived and checked in at 5:30pm, I asked the front desk where I pick up the passes and they said upstairs and we got up there to find out it closed at 6pm while the website said 8pm. To make matters worse, we discovered that the restaurants and provisions store of the property also closed around the same time. Thankfully, we found a restaurant 5-10 min away, we explained to the waitress what had happened and she informed us her child was supposed to go the next week until they discovered the waterpark would be closed for the week because of spring break. I just got off the phone with costumer service only for them to tell me that there was nothing they could do, I purchased waterpark tickets for Thursday & Friday and they were telling me they wouldnt refund me for something I used, which was one days worth not two. I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone especially if you have small children, there is absolutely nothing for miles. Lastly, we went to find an exra pillow only to find it blood and yellow staining on it, I reported it only to be told it was probably rust from a pipe."
"It was a perfect stay. Very helpful and responsive staff. We needed room for three adults, and the bed and daybed with pull-out were just right. Comfortable mattresses, enough blankets, clean bathroom and kitchenette, easy parking, easy check-in and check-out. The kitchenette had what we needed for easy breakfast and coffee. Don’t miss Roberto’s Pizza in Barton. Glad we turned the right way out of the driveway and happened upon it. It’s worth a side trip even if not staying close by. Will definitely return…for both a stay and the pizza. :-)"
Beautifully renovated antique farmhouse on pristine lake.
10/10 Excellent
"This house offers everything and then some. Very clean and creative fun art everywhere. We enjoyed time on the kayaks and were happy whether we were inside or outside. Game closet then offered more joy for children. There’s trails to hike and great for our dog too.Grateful the host offers this stellar experience. If you book, aim to leave it even better than you found it (it’ll be a challenge) but the respect it deserves."
"The rooms were ideal for what we needed, we had our kids in an adjoining suite. The hot tub was hot, and the restaurant downstairs was fun for a family dinner. Nice to be able to cross the street and get supplies at the store or eat a hot breakfast there. We made use of the trail network around the corner for walks and runs, and then headed to Jay Peak after checking out. Great for a Spring Break."
Cozy 1-bedroom cabin in tranquil Eden, northern Vermont
10/10 Excellent
"Very clean and cozy cabin. We liked the remote area with beautiful scenery but still appreciated the general store right next door. We had some snowy weather crop up that prevented us from hiking around the area, as is the risk early in the season being fair-weather hikers, but we will try again next time. We so appreciated the dog-friendly stay and the fully stocked kitchen. Thank you."
