It features a kitchen/lounge/dining area with direct access to its covered terrace and private haven of tranquility, complete with a stone barbecue, cicadas, and young cicadas.<br>The two bedrooms, located on the ground floor, offer an atmosphere of serenity and tranquility.<br>A bathroom with a large walk-in shower and a separate toilet.<br>The cottage is completely self-contained and is rated 3 stars according to furnished tourism standards.<br>It is located in the heart of the large Garidels estate, featuring a magnificent swimming pool (open from May to September) shared with four other completely independent holiday rentals (see our other Stayz listings: No. AB933200 and AB1883697)<br><br>The “IRIS” cottage sleeps 4–6 people (the living room features a high-quality sofa bed that can serve as a bedroom, sleeping 2 people). <br><br> An outdoor area overlooking the pool, featuring mulberry trees and a stone barbecue, specially designed for meals, relaxation, and social gatherings in a serene setting. <br>Ideal for holidays with family or friends: Pool, playground for children, trampoline, ping-pong, and pétanque for adults under the shade of chestnut trees.<br><br>Nearby:<br>- The Chassezac River is located between 500 metres and 1 kilometre away, with numerous swimming spots.<br>-Nearby activities: paragliding, canyoning, horseback riding, leisurely or challenging hikes—including the ascent of the Serre de Barre from the farmhouse via the Sentier des Bergères, a must-try (400m elevation gain over 1.5 km), rock climbing, via ferrata, tree-top adventure courses, tennis, badminton, quad bike riding, and of course canoeing—either a 2- to 3-hour trip down the Chassezac or a trip down the Ardèche (the longer route (32 km), a full day’s trip with the option of camping for two days.<br>-You can also explore the Virade du Batistou, a short family-friendly hike in the town of Gravières.<br>-Nearby museums: Espace muséal du pays des Vans, mini farm, Chauvet Cave exhibition in Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, the Ardèche 1900 Museum in Saint-Paul-le-Jeune, and the Jalès Templar Commandery in Berrias<br>-Listed villages in the area such as Banne, Naves, or Thines and its 11th-century listed church; sample local specialities: Chestnuts, sausages, caillettes, Ardèche wines: Vionnier or Chatus, Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah, or Gris de Grenache—in short, everything to delight your taste buds, not to mention a little homemade Carthagène.<br><br>An inn is located a 10-minute walk away, where you can dine in the shade of chestnut trees: <br>The village of Les Vans, 2 km away, offers numerous bars and restaurants, as well as summer activities, entertainment, and day and night markets.<br><br>Nearby: the Pont d’Arc and Cocalière caves, and the Ardèche Gorges.<br><br>We welcome you with a variety of holiday rentals (5) accommodating 2 to 31 people <br>Directions: From Les Vans, follow the road to Villefort for 2 km, then head towards Gravières.
