"Very dated and scruffy. Mould on window wood. Holes in curtain. Toilet needing bleach Soundproofing non existent- could hear neighbours’ conversations and coughing through night. "Room very nice. Food good overall although only cooked breakfasts. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening steak night. Downside no private parking. Staff excellent. The village is pleasant to walk round. If staying on the top floor the stairs can be a challenge as the staircase is narrow. "

"Easy to find thanks to a text on the day directing us to the parking area. Met by Allison at the door and made very welcome. The room, Lindesfarne, (No4) was superbly furnished and the view was all we expected. Cant fault it. The breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was of a high quality. Overall i'd have no hesitation in recommending The Roxburgh. "
