Scenic and homely

Lovely B&B situated in a very picturesque part of Cumbria. The rooms are situated on the friesian horse farm and is a short walk (20 minutes) from Cartmel (L'Enclume, the Priory, Racecourse, Cartmel Cheeses, various cafes and tearooms) as well as being a short drive from the southern Lakes and the seaside. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, providing a large variety of home-cooked breakfast options (continental, full english, kippers, salmon, with options available for vegetarians) and giving us directions on leaving. The rooms have excellent views, are very well kept, and the Valley View room had an incredibly comfortable bed.

Long Amazing Wedding Weekend

Apologies for delay, My stay was brilliant!. I thorough enjoyed my stay. The area was just wow, the taxi services also were friendly and very good at telling what areas to explore. I was there for a wedding which was absolutely fabulous

Set in beautiful country side with wonderful views of the valley from our bedroom. The farm house is beautiful with many original features still kept. The owner, Sylvia, is warm and friendly. In wish we could have stayed longer.

Top place to stay for Cartmel

Wonderful welcome to a quirky family home, but great location and amazingly friendly people made us feel very welcome... We'll go back there next year!

Lovely friendly B&B

We wanted to stay over in the Lake District after dropping our daughter off at university. We had our dog with us and were all made very welcome in this lovely clean and friendly B&B. The room had a lovely view. Breakfast was superb, much more than your usual continental style, and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

We’ll definitely be returning to Greenbank Farm!

Green bank Farm is a 20 minute walk downhill into Cartmel village and has stunning scenic views from the front garden. We received a very warm, lovely welcome from the owner on our arrival & she provided a delicious continental breakfast during our stay - so many different fruits, croissants, rolls and a really tasty Bavarian donker bread that she told us was from a baker’s shop in Grange over Sands.......we went there later to buy a loaf to bring home because we enjoyed it so much. The farmhouse is one of character, the beds and pillows in our well equipped bedroom were very comfortable and we were in the Paddock Room which overlooked a stable where a Shetland Pony was resident. In that room you have to share the spacious bathroom with the owner which was no problem at all for us. We will be returning again, having obtained the Cartmel Race dates for next year from Greenbank Farm’s owner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here to others.

Quiet B&B close to Cartmel

Ideal one night stopover. Clean, comfortable with good en suite bathroom and private entrance. Generous breakfast using fresh ingredients. Pleasant walk to Cartmel at about a mile distance.

Characterful farmhouse with lovely views

Lovely position old farmhouse just outside Cartmel. Our hostess was very welcoming and made us a super and plentiful continental breakfast including all fresh fruit pieces to go in our yoghurt. Very clean and comfortable room with all usual amenities. The owner has one very large and one small dog , which are housed away from guests but in the house. We decided not to bring our own dog in as our room was upstairs in the house, to avoid a territorial altercation.

Welcoming, comfy B&B with hearty breakfast!

A lovely family run B&B set in an old farmhouse. Really comfortable bed. And best of all, an amaaazing breakfast with wide range of fruit, yoghurt and pastries plus cooked English breakfast made from local produce.
