"Richard was an outstanding host and truly made our stay in Santa Teresa special. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and helpful with anything we needed. The location was perfect—just steps from the beach—making it easy to settle into the relaxed rhythm of the area.The sunsets are unforgettable and the beach is amazing and never crowded. Another unforgettable part of the stay was the wildlife—we saw both white-faced monkeys and howler monkeys moving through the canopy surrounding the property, which was such a cool and authentic Costa Rica experience.Having Rocamar right next door was also a huge plus. It was incredibly convenient for grabbing food or drinks, yet the property itself remained quiet and peaceful, which gave us the best of both worlds.The property itself was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a laid-back beach stay. Richard was always nearby if we needed anything but gave us plenty of space to enjoy our time.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Richard to anyone visiting Santa Teresa. "Lovely! A quiet jewel just 10 minutes outside the Santa Teresa's main district. Great adults-only resort, terrific restaurant, lovely beach, great rooms, wonderful massage. The resort, rooms, beach club, beach, staff and experience are all top notch. Can't overstate how excellent the restaurant is, whether breakfast lunch or dinner. The pool may be the only slight knock - it's lovely and unique, but small and accessible to only a few villas. But we didn't actually care. The beach club, beach, Santa Teresa, and neighboring Montezuma were all charming enough to make this a great experience. You'll want / need a car if you stay here. Relying on open ATV would be bad - you'd be covered in dust from the 10-15 minutes of dirt road between Blue Mist and Santa Teresa. We rented a 4wd Bronco from Liberia, which made the 4 hour drive in regular mode and last 15 minutes of gravel rough road in 4wd no problem. Nearby: Nami (best sushi in town / 5 min from Blue Mist), Katana (best restaurant in town), Pronto (best italian in town), Umi (best night beachfront bar experience), Tipsy (best wine shop) Tour: From Blue Mist we booked a Montezuma Falls guided hiking trek with Grasshopper Tours. Make sure to get Ernesto - a truly lovely local who literally grew up hiking and playing in the falls before it was a tourist destination. A great guy! We booked a Zumi tour to Tortuga Island from Montezuma village. Tour good, snorkeling fine, Island was boring, but we loved the town of Montezuma!"

"This is an exceptional property located just steps away from a slice of paradise. It is a beautiful modern home just steps away from the white sand beach. The perfect location to take in the stunning sunset. Richard takes hosting to a Concierge level. He went above and beyond to help us with requested arrangements. It is a rare find to discover someone who goes beyond expectations….all you need is Richard!! "

"We loved Casa Cecilia! The staff are all amazing. Natalia and Annabel were always ready to help with anything! The kitchen, cleaning and security staff were also extremely friendly. The location on the beach was fabulous and its proximity to Rocomar for drinks and lunch is perfect. We loved hanging out and chilling at Casa Cecilia. We spent five nights and were so relaxed by the end of the trip. The ambiance “makes” you wind down and relax. The rooms are a little tired, but very clean with great air conditioning. If you want fancy, Casa Cecilia is not your place. If you want a good value, friendly staff, a super location and yummy breakfasts, Casa Cecilia is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to go back! "

"This is a gem in Santa Teresa. The staff are all superb my kids loved the surf instructor (Diego is amazing) and I loved the morning yoga instructor (Daniella is superb) a great way to start your day and spend the whole day with attentive and professional staff. You will never regret staying here and the kids are already asking me if we can come back again next year. A brand new hotel who already have got it all together the small guest amenities (watermelon water throughout the property) and chic design work together with direct beach front property. It was hard to leave but we will definitely be back. Pura Vida, Team Fermata!"

"We had an excellent stay! We are an older couple and my husband gets up at 5 am daily for his coffee and we were not sure about the shared kitchen and it turned out to be one of our favorite things because we were able to meet and socialize with so many other people from all over the world! We had some chairs we could use to carry to the beach, the beds were the most comfortable we had on our entire 3 week stay in Costa Rica. Our host was fabulous and she did everything she could to help us have an amazing time. The traffic from the street takes a little getting use to, but so many other benefits outweighed that. The beach is like a two minute walk away and a fun bar sits right on the beach near the bungalow’s. It’s a wonderful place and we will be back!"
