"Reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was pretty basic, kitchenette although no tea cups, no air con, small shower and shower head was broken it dribbled water constantly so we had to leave a towel to stop the sound. The hotel is based in an extremely quiet area so if you’re looking for nightlife or a tourist area this is not the place for you! We stayed for 3 nights which in this particular area was enough. "Just a wonderful experience. The grounds are lovely and tranquil, and the pool is perfect for lounging after a day of touring Sintra. Breakfast is delicious and was served under a tree filled with flowers. The owners are super nice as well. I want go back."

"Amazing- room was fantastic with a nice little patio in the back over overseeing the ocean. Could not be nicer. Place to take walks in both directions. Room was very clean. Maria greeted us upon our arrival and was fantastic throughout our visit. Breakfast was amazing. Never had better scrambled eggs in my life. The manager also made two dinner reservations for us at very nice restaurants. Private parking, gated and safe.

"Rosa was very welcoming, friendly, helpful and always available if we needed her.The villa was clean and traditional Portuguese with superb views. The garden was lovely however the pool which looked great was not heated.The villa is set in a small quiet village location but a car is a must to visit local restaurants and towns.Overall we would recommend this charming villa. "

"The photos do not do the property justice - particularly the outdoor areas. It is so beautiful. Sandra is a very accommodating host, allowing us to check in early due to our flight arrival time and was there to greet us when we did arrive. Sandra was very easy to stay in touch with and answered all my questions very promptly. We cannot thank Sandra enough for the wonderful stay we had in a Barca charm house and would not hesitate to recommend anyone stay here! "
"The 2nd oldest Chalet in Portugal with so much charm. Staff is attentive and the property is clean and well maintained. Great location away from all the crowds yet close enough to everything. Midway between the city center and the beach Praia Grande..will definitely go back."
"A group of 10, x2 families stayed with children from 7-12. The property is a good size and set in a very peaceful woodland area. Unfortunately the building is very tired and could benefit from some updating. The biggest issue for all adults (from 36 years - 73 years of age), was the uncomfortableness of the beds. We dreaded going to bed and would have to take a paracetamol to help us sleep, they really need replacing! The drains are also quite smelly but that is likely for more properties near Sintra. The host communicated really well and the location is ideal next to the mountains and 10 minutes to beaches so it was a shame the comfort of the house let’s this property down.The pool was also dirty for the first few days as it had not been cleaned and the filter was broken. As it was old, the children did not want to play in it so that wasn’t worth booking for. "
"This place was wonderful. Beautifully decorated, relaxing and comfortable. The view was breath taking. It was a walking distance to the beach and excellent restaurants. The walk by the cliff facing the ocean was relaxing. One can enjoy the sunset every day. Beyond all, the staff not only was friendly but they did all they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They really paid attention to detail and requests. They were so nice and willing to talk that I decided to stay one more day and relax. I felt at home with friends. Hopefully, I will be back one day. "
