Fantastic stay at Baystone
We absolutely loved our two-week stay at Baystone. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and were constantly asking how our stay was and if there was anything they could do. The room was amazing and was very clean. Stephanie in particular was great and made sure our stay was enjoyable. On two occasions we left very early in the morning (before breakfast) to go on trips and both times we were given a little takeaway box with some breakfast. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant, and our suite was excellent. We went half board, and we thought the food was really good.

Nice friendly hotel with awesome food
Stayed two nights. Awesome staff and very welcoming. Big thanks to whole Baystone's team from reception to the chef's team. Excellent and delicious food every night. Will definetly return to this place on my next visit and recommend it to other visitors.

Just returned from an amazing 8 night stay at the baystone and can not recommend highly enough. The design of the hotel is beautiful but also it really works. The function of the rooms has been really well considered making them a delight to be in and offering true luxury. The staff are attentive and professional but always really friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The water sports and bikes (included in your stay) are a great bonus and the guys at the boat house are always happy to help, including popping you over to grand baie so you can go and explore a little. The spa is wonderful and really good value too. However the real treat of the hotel is food, every night is another beautifully composed meal which would rival many fine dining restaurants (michelin star places included). The cocktails, wine and rum list are also amazing. In conclusion couldn't have asked for better! Big thanks to everyone at the Baystone.

Very unique hotel. Pleasant stay. However, I didn't find the room and bed very comfortable. Also, we were sick so stayed in room longer than planned. But there are no TV channels to watch for non-French speakers. Had half-board package with breakfast and dinner. Food was definitely the highlight. Thank you chef!

Brilliant stay!
We arrived on the night of the 25th and had a delicious meal waiting for us. From the minute we got there we were taken aback by the attention to detail and beautiful environment. The Baystone staff were ALL absolutelyincredible! From arranging us gluten free foods to finding me Rooibos tea. Nothing was too much to ask. Wendy went above and beyond. The boat house team were wonderful too! The rooms were very spacious, comfortable and clean. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the beautiful memories.

True 5 star experience. 100% reflection of the advertising pictures. Set Menu for Dinner but awesome. You can request special menu for dinner from the chef and is done with perfection.

Fantastic hotel!
We stayed here at the end of October and had a wonderful stay. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was huge, very clean and comfortable. The restaurant is delicious and the spa is great! All in a perfect location. We can't wait to visit again!

I spent by birthday there and it was the best experience ever! The food is incredible and the service impeccable. It is not a common hotel. It is a place they make you feel at home. The kindness of people is beyond words. I loved everything. Ah! Wonderful spa too!

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS HOTEL AND STAFF
Romantic, well appointed, beautiful hotel. Phenomenal food, but a bit of a $$ splurge. Breakfast was delicious and wait and cleaning and reception staff excellent. If you can swing it, get an ocean facing room. The smart tvs work better in that room and the Tempur Pedic beds seemed softer than the Tempur Pedic in the rooms across the road.That being said, across the road was absolutely lovely too. I LOVE THE BATHROOMS and all the stone work. Make sure to buy a Baystone sarong.

Unexpected fun, comfort & experience
This hotel was only a year old when we visited in Sep 2013. Built with a modern chic contemporary feel, you have to be amazed at its innovation. It also provides water skiing, kayaking and some basic beach activities for free. The room we had was spacious, fun (yes, fun) and serviced twice a day. If I'm not wrong, this is a 4-star hotel but if you have a 5-star budget, try it out.

En underbar semester
Just returned from an amazing eleven nights stay at the Baystone Hotel in Grand Baie and recommend the hotel highly! The design of the hotel is beautiful. The room has been really well considered making them a delight to be in and offering true luxury. The food, cocktails and wine was amazing. All the Baystone staff were ALL absolutely wonderful! We couldn't have better vacation! We will definitely be back. Thanks for the beautiful memories.

新築2年目の綺麗なホテル
8月下旬に宿泊しました。グランべの湾(Hotels.comの位置は外海側になっていますが正しくは湾側です)に面しており、白くクールな室内でエメラルドグリーンの穏やかな海を堪能できます。かなり遅い時間に着いたにも関わらず、ちゃんとした食事をスタッフが用意してくれました。リノベしてから日が浅く、まだ新築という感じです。遅い時間にも関わらず仕事をしていたフランス人オーナーが挨拶に来てくれたり、至れり尽くせりでした。惜しむらくは私たちの部屋のシャワーがお湯がうまく出なかったことですが、すぐに対応して貰い、スパをサービスしてくれました。ボートは目の前から発進できるのでちょっとしたダイビングに出掛けたりすることも出来ます。グランべ付近は古くなってきたホテルも多いですが、個人的にはお勧めできるホテルだと思います。

Nous avons passé 10 jours de pur bonheur dans un hôtel très accueillant sur une île de rêve. Le personnel de l'hôtel est toujours attentif à nos demandes. Aucune mauvaise note pendant ces 10 jours! La cuisine du chef est magique pour les yeux et pour les papilles... Thierry et Valérie

Excellent accueil,personnel aux petits soins, chef parmi les meilleurs, hôtel de très grand standing..pour ceux qui ont la chance de séjourner dans le bâtiment principal dont les fenêtres ouvrent sur la mer. Les autres- les chambres "standard"- se retrouvent sur une rue certes peu passante et calme mais sans aucun charme. Les chambres pour le coût sont assez froides et..."standard". Bien faire préciser ce qui vous attend au moment de la réservation. Mais cela reste une très belle adresse

Bellissima esperienza.
Nel complesso la struttura è molto bella e curata. Camere spaziose funzionali, eleganti e pulite. Il servizio è molto personalizzato per ogni esigenza della clientela. Area piscina piccola, ma comunque confortevole, tranquilla e ben accessoriata. Con la mezza pensione a cena si dispone di due scelte che comprendono sempre menù di carne e pesce, molto variati ed elaborati. Molto buono! La zona è tranquilla ma offre poco, nel villaggio più vicino (gran Bay) non vi sono grandi attrazioni. Per quanto riguarda le attività in mare la zona è comunque perfetta. Le altre attrazioni sono raggiungibili in taxi con tragitti che variano da pochi minuti per i luoghi più vicini alle destinazioni più lontane raggiungibili in un'ora o più. Bellissima anche la SPA.

l'hôtel est très confortable, la vue sur la mer est superbe (choisir chambre vue mer), le personnel est très présent, toujours souriant et entièrement à notre service! l'hôtel propose de nombreuses activités sportives ainsi que des sorties culturelles totalement personnalisables. Et pour finir la nourriture est excellente, le chef est super, un véritable Artiste dans son domaine!

First, the restaurant was EXCELLENT! The food and service were outstanding! The spa was relaxing, but just regular. The location was little hard to find since we took a bus there, and we had to walk for almost 10 mins to go down the alley. It would be better if we had a car or a pickup. When we checked in, the room was nice, we were very satisfied. However, after dinner we went back to the room, there was NO HOT WATER; moreover, the bathtub was LEAKING NASTY BROWN WATER. They changed our room to a smaller one but the same price (we paid for the cheapest room). ps: i had similar situations before at other 5star hotels, they either updated the room or gave me the coupon for their hotel service; but baystone did nothing more than just change room. The new room was not ready when we moved in, i had to call again for the wifi, and the reception lady was little annoyed that i had to call her for such "a small thing". After a hot shower, we found out there wasnt a hair dryer which they probably missed when they moved us. At the second day before we checked out, we asked if its possible to use the swimming pool after check out since we did not want to pay for the 50 euro late checkout fee. They first said yes, but after we did check out, they told us other reasons why we couldn't use it. I don't know if they told me the truth or just trying to "get rid" of me. if its the truth, why didnt they tell me before i asked them. Overall, it was not a good stay for us, will not come again.

Accueil sobre mais très avenant, le personnels est très serviable voir dans l anticipation des besoins, le décor était class et délicat. Les activités de l hôtel (wake Board, ski nautique et Spa ) le caisson de flottaison était très agréable, nous avons apprécié ce moment de relaxation en couple. Le directeur de l hôtel a pris le temps de nous saluer et venir régulièrement converser. Seul ombre au tableau, la séparation des 2 bâtiments et l accès au chambre de celui-ci était quelque peu exigu et un véritable espace détente (billard, lecture..) aurait été un plus.

Er veldig fornøyd med oppholdet her. Meget god service og mat. Daglig ble man tatt med på vannski, snorkling annen vannsport etter ønske. Det koster selvsagt en del å bo på et 5-stjerners hotell, men føler det var vel verd pengene. Eneste bakdelen er at nystekte croissanter, gode middager og øl på stranda merkes på badevekta :-)

Une équipe incroyable , une ambiance détendue et familiale , un bel hôtel - le bonheur ! Mais de nouveau - la vraie différence est cette équipe - attentive , aux petits soins , amicale et professionnelle en même temps . Nous y retournerions pour retrouver cette ambiance et une équipe si adorable !
