This is a beautiful place to stay!! The room was perfect, a spacious bathroom, and AC which was important because it was 104 degrees!! Fernando at the front desk was extremely helpful and Angel, our waiter, was such a wonderful delight!! Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again!

Quaint hotel, excellent service, both in the frontdesk and restaurant. Very clean, quiet, and well appointed. Located inside of Alhambra is a huge plus!!

Great hotel in a great city
Superb hotel at the heart of the Alhambra complex. Friendly and helpful staff, incredibly comfy bed, good selection of food available. The photos on line don’t really do this place justice.

This property is located almost on the grounds of the Alhambra, so if that’s your destination, definitely stay here. They were able, luckily, to give us a 2 bed room after the first night. And the on-site restaurant provided a good breakfast. Go for the ambience. You can get more amenities elsewhere, perhaps, but wandering around at night is great here! Wonderful staff, too.

Very special to be in the Alhambra itself. Lovely rooms and atmosphere Only deficiency was lack of ability to make tea/coffee for ourselves as there was no evening food service.

Hotel America was delightful. A small hotel located in the center of the Alhambra with beautiful courtyard and excellent staff. The room we had was small, but it was fine for a couple of nights The room overlooked the central courtyard where breakfast and lunch could be had. Although, the restaurant was not open for dinner it was a quick cab or bus ride to the city center with many dining options.

If you want to stay within the Alhambra and don't want to spend three times the cost at the Parador (next door), the Hotel America is the place to be. It's a cluttered former home that has been in the family for close to 90 years, but has charm and grace. The staff was extremely helpful; procured tickets for us, to the Alhambra, on short notice.

Great look and location. Great heating and water pressure, modern bathrooms, comfortable beds. Overpriced meals. Hotel declined to allow 3 adults to stay in a suite that had 2 single beds and sn alcove with a futon and another single bed claiming the extra single bed was only for a child! That forced us to take and pay for TWO instead of just one bedroom, thus doubling their profit when it was absolutely ridiculous.

Unbeatable location, if you are visiting the Alhambra. Room was small but adequate; bathroom was generously sized and well equipped. At times—particularly when the restaurant was serving—front desk reception could be very slow, but the staff were pleasant, helpful, and accommodating.

It's terrific to stay on the grounds of the Alhambra in a rustic hotel. Loved the courtyard restaurant and the friendly helpful staff. They were able to get us reservations at late notice for a nice restaurant overlooking the Alhambra from across the valley. Would stay there again.

Very friendly and helpful. So close to all attractions of the Alhambra. Really cozy patio. Served alcohol only wished they had food while I was there but the restaurant next door was equally amazing.

Treasure in Al Hambra
An absolute treasure hidden within the city walls of the Al Hambra. Step out the door into another world. The hotel is lovely, the staff...all very helpful. They have valet parking and delicious food. The price was a fourth of the only other hotel in Al Hambra, a great experience all around!

Loved the atmosphere and ambiance of Hotel America. It was just as I imagined a Spanish Inn of the past would be like. The location had both positive and negative aspects: being at the Alhambra certainly was special and getting into Palace late of night (ticket booked in advance a must) was superb and; down side was eateries available for dinner. The staff were super helpful and extremely pleasant, nothing seemed too difficult for them to assist me. Breakfast was just right for me - juice, fruit, yoghurt, rolls, pastry and choice of tea, coffee or chocolate. Had an arranged evening meal one night. - was OK.; and enjoyed a coffee and cake one day..

The Hotel America is an excellent base for which to explore Alhambra. For if you have not visited it before it is located up on the top of a rather large hill. If you are staying in town you will need to either take a taxi or a bus or walk at least 15 minutes. Its location affords you the opportunity to begin exploring Alhambra as soon as you exit the hotel. The location of the hotel also allows you to take a break during the day if so need it. The hotel does not have a lift, but the staff are eager to assist you with your luggage. The building itself is historical. The hotel is designed to keep the history intact for your visit. The hotel room we had was large and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was adequate. The room does not have a TV. The only downside of the room was that it was difficult to regulate the heat during the night. We had to open a window to cool the room. We opted for the basic continental breakfast which consisted of cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, juice, coffee, and tea. There was also an option for a hot breakfast should you choose. It was an excellent value for the cost considering there was only 1 other location within the Alhambra to have a served meal. The staff was very friendly taking the time to in the planning of seeing Alhambra as well as other destinations in the Granada Spain area. Also speaking with another guest they had shared how the staff had coordinated a taxi to take her to a laundry mat to clean her clothes.

It was great to be so close to everything. Right next door to the Parador where we had a very late night meal in the bar, and in the shade of the Alhambra. I’d stay here again. The only negative is the bedclothes seemed worn out. Time for a little smartening up.

Magnificently located in the heart of one of the world's prime tourist attractions, yet providing personal, friendly service. Staff members Elizabeth, Antonio, Angel, Pablo could not have been nicer. The room had tons of old-world charm while the bathroom was modern, spacious, and comfortable. Food and drink service prompt and attentive.

Our stay at Hotel America was wonderful due to the very helpful staff and location. The building and rooms have charm and character which we enjoyed. Weather permitting, breakfast and early dinner in the garden was magical, and the food was delicious. I very much appreciate the patience of the staff who were very helpful and witty.

Location couldn't be better, immediately adjacent to the Parador. The hotel is small, cozy and personal, the way hotels used to be. The perfect place to stay when visiting the Alhambra.

Perfect location for a trip to Alhambra. Walking to and from the city centre means you can work off any over indulgence in the local restaurants and bars. We had a basic room overlooking the courtyard. No frills but comfortable, some noise from the courtyard but not a problem as the restaurant closed early in the evening.

Inside Alhambra!
It was such an experience to be inside the walls of Alhambra. The views, feelings and sounds were unlike any that I have seen. Antonio was an impeccable host as we arrived late and woke early throughout our stay. Tjank you for the hospitality and taste of history.

Accessibility Issues
Our GPS gave up trying to locate the hotel till we called up the hotel who kindly sent one of the staff to walk down to where we were stranded and guided us. Even then it took about ten minutes for the Security staff to open the barrier allowing us to proceed towards the complex. In short accessibility was an issue.

Charming, comfortable, and convenient!
This was one of our favorite hotels during a big 2-month vacation we recently took. It is SO charming, comfortable, and the perfect location for exploring the Alhambra (which is reason we spent 2 nights in Granada). You pay a bit of a premium for the meals here, but the convenience and service is excellent. It's great to be able to take a quick break to your room in the middle of your Alhambra visit, or get an early start without having to walk far. Also, you can totally get an "American" breakfast here (they had eggs and bacon and toast, and it was a generous portion) which is sometimes hard to find in Andalusia and Europe in general. My only critique is with the bathrooms -- in the shower, the type of tiles and doors used collected water in difficult-to-clean spots, and you could see a LOT of mold build-up. They need to be re-done with smoother/larger tiles and new doors that are easier to clean and that will prevent mold build-up. Otherwise, our stay was perfect!

Perfect location
The only way to visit The Alhambra is by staying within the grounds. It's a massive site and to visit all the palaces, gardens, museums takes time and energy so being able to return to the hotel was ideal.

Quaint hotel with excellent staff
This hotel is right on the Alhambra monument grounds. It's very eclectic and Spanish, not your normal chain hotel. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. If your looking for 4-5 star or amenities it's not your place. BUT you can't beat the location ,it saves a lot of walking and you can have a nice breakfast and lunch there while touring the Alhambra, you can have dinner next door at the much pricier parador de Alhambra. I don't think I would stay there in the heat of the summer though as AC was not real strong Value was good,

Great location next to the Alhambra.
We reserved two double rooms with twin beds. Upon arrival we were told that we had two double rooms but were not able to be accommodated with the twin beds. Each room had one double bed. We were four women traveling so this was not good news. We were told that when booking through agencies like Expedia that the bed request was subject to availability and not confirmed. After much insistence they were able to accommodate us with one double room with twin beds and two single rooms, but at a higher cost. This was very unpleasant experience.

Perfect location for Alhambra
This is a lovely hotel right on the Alhambra property. The location cannot be beaten. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is a bit small, but it is lovely and quiet at night. Given the location and all of the positive things, I'd certainly recommend this hotel.
