Situated in a riverside location and on part of a working livestock farm nestling in a beautiful rural setting, this former barn has been creatively converted to offer charm, character and spacious holiday accommodation. Spend some time around the animals or take a walk along the banks of the River Ouse. Diggerland, Magna Science Adventure Centre including Sci-tek and Aqua-tek, The Deep Aquarium, Eureka the National Children’s Museum and Waterworld are just a few of the family days out on offer, all in a radius of 30 miles. Lunch in York while visiting York Minster and take an evening ghost walk after a meal in one of the many restaurants. Shop and restaurant 4 miles.

We’ve had a lovely week at Leedale cottage.
We’ve had a lovely week at Leedale cottage. We have two young children so the location was perfect for us. A 30-40 minute drive to lots of child friendly places. Food shops are a short drive away but you can stop off and get what you need on your travels if you plan ahead. The cottage was perfect for what we needed and Joanne was really helpful and welcoming. It’s well equipped and comfortable.

Lovely place to stay.
Lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, spacious and well equipped. Great local amenities in Howden and Goole and ideal for visiting York and Beverley.

A beautiful barn conversion in an outstanding area.
A beautiful barn conversion in an outstanding area. The Road to the cottage is narrow and bumpy but worth it to enjoy the peace once there. (Occasional moo heard as a working farm- but we were aware and actually quite liked it) Cottage is well equipped, beds very comfortable, very warm. Host was very helpful and welcoming. We used as a base to visit York and also Yorkshire wildlife park. Perfect location, nearby Howden offers good restaurants and location perfect for exploring Yorkshire and taking stroll along the river Ouse.
Excellent communication in an idyllic spot for us. Property was well presented and lovely beams give a cozy feel to the place. Do need to travel out for shops but doesn't detract from the enjoyment.
