"We were stranded by our airline in Amsterdam so I used Expedia to book a stay at the Ramada. It's less than 3km from the airport and considerably less than the 590 euro rate quoted by the Sheraton. Expedias was quick and efficient as usual. The Ramada front desk person who checked us in was amazing. We were so tired from hours of traveling and his english was impeccable, he communicated clearly and really made us feel welcome and safe. There were 3 of us and there was one room left with 3 twin beds so that was amazing luck. The only issue we had was that one of the twin beds looked like someone slept in it. It had hair and lint all over it. We felt that was gross so my adult daughter slept on top of the blankets with her clothes on and we shared my blanket. We didn't complain at the time because we were exhausted and only there for 8 hours. The shower was good although trying to figure it out was a small challenge."

"We arrived in the evening, left before the sun came up, so hard to rate the environment. Airport shuttles were large, very efficient and regularly scheduled, though pickup time at airport could be affected by traffic and busload. 3 person room worked out well for us. Would stay here again for the same purpose of airport departure."

"Lengthy check in process. The self check in screen didn’t recognise my third party booking through Expedia so a lot of back and forth with the hotel staff trying to manually input things themselves. For something that was meant to be very simple it took ages to get sorted. One of the staff was quite abrupt and not very welcoming. Not the best experience when entering the hotel! On the plus side the room was modern, and the transport links to the centre of Amsterdam was great."

"The best part of this hotel was the staff, they were amazing!! At all hours of the day or night they were friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our reservation, it did not appear in their system, but they made it work. We also took advantage of the laundry service, they were able to wash some of our clothes, it was not as expensive as other hotels. Though it is not in the city center, there is a tram station nearby and the tram took us right where we needed to go. Also, there is a 24-hour McDonalds next door which we appreciated. We had the breakfast option at the hotel, their hall is nicely decorated and comfy, a great variety, the best one out of all the hotels we had in this tip. A great stay all in all"
