"The VRBO was a wonderful place to spend a few days with family. We came to see our son graduate from the Canadian Armed Forces Basic Training. My wife's parents joined us.My mother in law (who is a tough sell!) was the first one to say that she would definitely come here again, and we all agreed. The entire VRBO was clean and tidy, the host was extremely friendly and helpful, and the location was gorgeous: by the water with mountains in the background. I would gladly recommend it to anyone. There was plenty of space for six adults. Everyone was comfortable. No one felt crammed. The kitchen was excellent. So, we ate every meal at the VRBO. A large diningroom table meant everyone sat together at meals.A hot tub on the back porch was well used. We enjoyed sitting in the tub, under the stars, late into the night. The neighborhood was quiet. The decor was simple, tasteful, and pleasant. All the furniture was in excellent condition. The host was outstanding. We had some adjustments to our original schedule and they accomodated us with the utmost courtesy."
"We had an amazing stay here during the weekend of the Canadian Grand Prix. At first we were unsure about staying a bit outside the city, but honestly it ended up being the perfect decision. For the price of a small hotel room in Montreal, we got an entire peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. The property had everything we could ask for: a beautiful deck by the lake, spa, fire pit with wood ready to use, BBQ, lots of outdoor space for the kids to play, and such a relaxing atmosphere after spending the day at the race. It really felt like the best of both worlds — exciting days in the city and quiet evenings in the woods with family. The drive into Montreal was completely manageable, and coming back to a calm, cozy cottage instead of a crowded hotel made the whole trip much more enjoyable. In our opinion, this place is honestly underrated. If you’re visiting for the Grand Prix, especially with family or kids, this is exactly the kind of stay you want.Would absolutely come back again."
Modern Lake House with Spa on Champlain Lake, Venise-en-Québec
10/10 Excellent
"The property is extremely well located. We awoke to a spectacular view of the lake, and enjoyed amazing sunsets in the evening. We arrived at the very start of the summer season, and enjoyed watching the rain on the lake for the first two days. Montreal and all its adventures is a quick hour away. We also traveled into Vermont and New York in our exploration of the area. There is so much to do, including wine tasting, nature hikes and water sports. At first the house seemed a little smaller than expected. But everything promised is there and it turned our to be perfect for our party of 5. And our hosts were extremely responsive and answered all our questions. We very much enjoyed our trip to Venise en Quebec."
