"First time to this hotel and would definitely return. Very central for bars shops and restaurants. The rooftop bar is a must lovely cocktails we didn't try the food, but book in advance or you could be disappointed."

"By the river Ouse in York you are reasonably close to everything. This hotel appears to be mid-20th century unimpressive architecture. There were issues with air-conditioning over very warm days. The bed was great, however I booked a king bed and was given twin beds. The shower worked well which gives this hotel passing marks. Security was full on and rooms are quiet. If you stay here book a river view as it will make it worth your while. There was a peculiar sulphur order which must be emitting from a hidden pit somewhere. York itself is charming mostly. Crowds can be heavy on fair weather days."
