"Tasha was the most accommodating host we’ve ever had at Vrbo. Almost instant responses from her if we had any questions. The backyard was very important to us because we had two dogs, and it was perfect. It was fully enclosed and no way of them getting out at all. The beds and pillows were actually very comfortable, that’s usually not the case so we were pleasantly surprised! The fire pit outside was awesome for my son and his friend to make s’mores. House was spotless and decorated beautifully. The only issue we had was with the driveway. It is very steep so be sure to closely read the directions sent to your email after booking as they are very helpful. Dogs and kids had a blast and so did my husband and myself. Thank you, Tasha for being so accommodating for me and my family. Highly recommend this place to you and your family. "

"Rooms are clean & cozy, and a lot of them have balconies which I love. Breakfast is very good with a good selection. We also enjoyed the Game Room (played ping pong, billiard, & air hockey). Good workout room. Also has a nice little trail behind the hotel to walk in. Only down side is that they are now charging for parking ($20/day) but the stay is still affordable & pleasant so it's still one of our favorite places to stay."

"This cabin is perfect for a family of 4-5. The updates throughout are thoughtful and comfy. If you’re a skier - I’m not LOL - you will appreciate the views of the slopes and the walking distance. And it was just a short drive to the Big Bear Blvd. when needing to pick up some last minute groceries, etc. Chris and Melanie were wonderful hosts and quick to respond to any questions I had. "

"Adorable little cabin but it needs some improvements (deep cleaning, a few repairs, etc) and I don't think the cleaning crew does more than the basics (bathrooms, counters, floors). Found random items behind furniture, what looks to be personal items of the owners throughout including condoms, and a cabinet of half eaten foods. City trash bins were all over the property; two in the front yard and a few more in the backyard along with yard tools like shovels and rakes. Would be fine for a group of young adults needing a place to crash while skiing."

"The cabin is a short drive to bear mountain. It was comfortable and homey. The host was very quick to respond and easy to work with. "

"Very cute cabin with everything we needed and everything was clean. Loved the layout and how cozy it felt. The back porch was even fenced off so my dog could go out there. It was within walking distance to Big Bear Mountain (about a 13 minute walk) which made snowboarding early very easy. We did have a problem with no hot water coming from the shower, but the owner was immediately responsive and had someone come out to fix it very quickly. Overall it was a great stay and very dog friendly. "

"We really enjoyed this wonderful cabin! We were lucky enough to be there during a snow storm and they have a great hill for sledding. The pool/pingpong table kept us busy for hours! "

"Overall, we had a good time at Bear Mountain Hideaway. The location is great; very close to the zoo, skiing, and Moonridge coffee shop (good breakfast!). The host responded very quickly and gave good instructions. The rate per night was inexpensive. Additionally the hot tub was in great condition.. very clean and hot!The cabin was a good size and on a surface level it was clean but it did not look like listing photos. The couches in the living room were older and have seen better days, the carpet on the stairs/in the bedrooms was very dirty, the sheets did not fit the queen size bed and kept rolling up and exposing the mattress and the other full bed was very squeaky and did not feel sturdy. These are all things that I think could be easily fixed and are not a deal breaker if you want a good, well priced getaway. Thanks. "

"This is a lovely house, very close to Bear Mountain. The great room is perfect for group activities and the hot tub was much appreciated after skiing. There are some things that could use updating (the glasswear, a few lightbulbs, etc) but it's very homey and comfortable."
