About this property
Riverfront Mountain Retreat with Hot Tub, EV Charger, Pet Friendly in Sky Valley
- Breathtaking river and mountain views make Sky Valley Retreat a getaway worth slowing down for. Wake to the Skykomish rushing past, sip coffee on the covered open-air deck, then sink into your private hot tub beneath the stars. Tucked among towering evergreens at the foot of the Cascades, this four-season escape puts rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, skiing & snowshoeing nearby. Pet-friendly, with fast WiFi & Level 2 EV charging. An hour from Seattle. A world away.
WELCOME TO SKY VALLEY RETREAT, a beautifully appointed riverfront home tucked among towering evergreens along the Skykomish River, with the Cascade Mountains rising around you. Designed for families, couples and friends, it’s a four-season retreat where mountain adventure and slow, restorative days by the river come together.
The views are the heart of the home. Large windows frame the flowing river, evergreens, dramatic mountain peaks and ever-changing Northwest skies, bringing the outdoors in throughout the day.
Wake to the sound of the Skykomish moving past the house and sip your morning coffee overlooking the river. Spend the day chasing waterfalls, hiking alpine trails, rafting, fishing, horseback riding or skiing in the Cascades. Then come home, sink into the private hot tub and watch the mountains fade into the evening sky.
Or skip the itinerary altogether. Curl up inside, break out the board games, cook a long dinner together and simply let the river set the pace.
THE HOME
The open-concept living, dining and kitchen spaces were made for spending time together. Gather for family meals, settle in for movie or game nights, or simply relax with the river and mountains just beyond the windows.
The fully equipped kitchen includes cookware, dishes, utensils, glassware, coffee essentials and the everyday basics you need for meals at home.
With 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and flexible sleeping arrangements for up to 6 guests, there’s room to spread out without losing the warmth of a mountain retreat.
OUTDOOR LIVING + PRIVATE HOT TUB
Step outside onto the spacious river-facing deck, roof-covered overhead while remaining open-air along the sides. It gives you a sheltered place to experience the outdoors even when classic Pacific Northwest weather rolls through.
Start the morning here with coffee and the sound of the river. Gather outside after an adventure-filled day, or slip into the private hot tub beneath the stars and let tired hiking—or skiing—legs recover.
There’s ample outdoor seating for the group, and because the deck is open along the sides, wind-driven rain may occasionally reach portions of it.
WHERE YOU’LL SLEEP
The home comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests with several sleeping options:
Upstairs A-frame bedroom: 1 king bed, 1 Twin XL and 1 twin bed. A private, fully enclosed upstairs bedroom with classic A-frame architecture, river and evergreen views, carpeting and its own closet.
Downstairs bedroom:
1 queen bed.
Living room:
1 full-size Murphy bed that conveniently folds away during the day.
With two full bathrooms, the layout works especially well for families, couples traveling together or friends sharing a mountain getaway.
FOUR SEASONS OF ADVENTURE
One of the best things about Sky Valley Retreat is that there really isn't an off-season.
In warmer months, explore waterfalls and alpine lakes, hike, fish, kayak, raft or tube the Skykomish, go horseback riding, or simply spend the afternoon beside the river.
As the mountains turn white, trade hiking boots for skis, snowboards or snowshoes and head toward Stevens Pass.
Nearby adventures include Wallace Falls, Lake Serene, Bridal Veil Falls and Heather Lake, with countless trails and outdoor experiences throughout the surrounding Cascades.
And when you want a change of scenery, Leavenworth makes a wonderful day trip—wander the Bavarian-style mountain town, eat, shop and explore before returning to your quiet spot beside the Skykomish.
CLOSE TO ADVENTURE, EASY TO REACH
You get the feeling of a mountain escape without being completely removed from civilization.
The home is conveniently located just off Highway 2, making it easy to head toward trails, Stevens Pass and Leavenworth. Groceries and drive-through coffee are close by, and local spots—including the beloved Espresso Chalet—make easy stops on your way to an adventure.
Then, at the end of the day, leave Highway 2 behind and come home to the river.
