It’s like a boutique hotel: self checkin and out but the place is implacably clean and the help is always there in case you need clean towels and blankets. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. "The hotel is easy to find and has a lot of car parking available. My stay was relatively short so I was unable to fully explore the grounds, facilities and amenities. This is an older property which could benefit from some updating and refurbishment. However, my room size was very large, the bed comfortable and bathroom very spacious. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, even escorting me to my room. The breakfast buffet was extensive and impressive but I did not have an opportunity to eat an evening meal in the restaurant. This hotel is a 25 minute walk into the centre of Coimbra but I did not find this a problem. Overall, this is a superior hotel in Coimbra and I will have no hesitation in returning again. My colleagues chose to stay in other hotels in the centre, which were not nearly as good or comfortable, so I was pleased with my choice."
