We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with the electric shower. I can't find any note about this being raised during your stay. Please, in these occasions come to the desk and tell us about these concerns. We could have had an electrician check it or we could have moved you to another room.

Unfortunately, we have no control over the price of the parking, this is set by the city council as the Hotel does not offer private parking. £2/session for the city centre is very reasonable though, most hotels such as the large chains offer multistorey paring(Private parking) which can charge upto £24/day. The price we charge for 24hours is only £6/day - as set by the city council. In regards to the limited spaces, there are several streets that surround the Hotel in which you may park the car. There are around 9 streets - Renfrew st/Hill St/Buccleuch St/West Graham st/Garnet st/GarnetHill st/Scott st/Dalhousie st/Rose st. Parking is always noted to be first come/first serve, especially for spaces out front of the Hotel as these spaces are used for other Hotels also. We do put soap in the rooms, this is all we offer at the moment, no shampoo/body lotion/conditioner. If there was no soap in your room, you can always request some from Reception (24hrs). We ask each and every guest to leave their key at Reception, this is due to fire regulations so that Reception knows who is in and out in the unlikely event of a fire. Our focus at the moment is getting our new dining area up and running and then we will be starting on the rooms. We can't at this time give a set timetable when all this will be finished.

As this was anonymous we cannot verify this statement. We have not ever given a set date for the completion of our renovations. There is an issue with access to the backgarden we are addressing. We could have tried to address these issues if they were brought to reception rather than after you had left.

Without information such as when you stayed or what issues you had with the room, we cannot address your concerns. We are sad to hear you were not happy with your stay.

A guest house offers the same amenities as a 2* Hotel, but the Willow Guest House was the previous business, to show that it was taken over, it was renamed The Willow Hotel. I hope this clears up the issue.
