"Worked great for what we need which was a hot shower and a cheap spot to sleep for a night just passing through town! No bed bugs (I always do a rigorous room check prior to bringing any of our items inside)."
Hot Tub House Kipling Cottages Deck Fire Pit 2 bed 1 bath Smart TVs WiFi Sleep 6
10/10 Excellent
"We had the BEST stay at the Little House in Kipling while visiting for the U.P. State Fair, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! The location was perfect, only about a 10-minute drive to Escanaba and Stacy and Carl were absolutely wonderful hosts. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much thought and care they’ve put into this property. We booked our stay with the goal of only needing to bring a suitcase and a cooler, and the Little House truly had everything else we could possibly need! There was a note from our hosts and they gave us everything you needed to make smores! The full kitchen was stocked with utensils, pots and pans, a coffee maker with everything needed for coffee, and so much more. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The bathroom and shower were beautiful, and there were plenty of towels for both the shower and hot tub. We especially appreciated all the conveniently placed towel hooks throughout the house! There were thoughtful little touches everywhere. There’s a shelf of games right by the entryway, and every drawer seemed to have something useful from restaurant guides and menus to things we didn’t even realize we might need. It truly felt like a home away from home.We also made great use of the grill for burgers, enjoyed the campfire, and of course… the HOT TUB! We used it more than FIVE times during our stay, and it was absolutely incredible."
#8 2bed 1bath LAKE MI Fishing Cabin WiFi AC Deck Firepit Kayak Paddle Boat Dock
8/10 Good
"The cabin size was perfect lots of wildlife to watch and we love sitting by the fire we were able to take out the kayaks and the paddle boat. The only thing that would’ve made it better would be a little fishing boat so we could get around in the cove Stacy the host was super. She got us everything we needed and we would come back in a heartbeat, everything was clean. We love the lake. Thanks for a great day!!"
"Eagle's Retreat" Vacation Cottage With Gorgeous Park And Lake Views
10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved our stay at The Eagle Retreat in Gladstone! This was our 1st family vacation in Michigan’s upper peninsula and we wanted to stay close to Lake Michigan as opposed to Lake Superior, but within an hour of most popular tourist spots. The location of this home was PERFECT. It’s directly across the street from the Little Bay De Noc where the beach is clean, sandy, and shallow. The description and pictures of the home are accurate and did not disappoint. The owners thought of EVERYTHING!!! There are several bicycles in great condition to pick from along with helmets. Our family consists of me and my husband along with 3 kids ranging in age from 11 to 20. We each found a bike that fit perfectly. The outdoor theater with lights was nice for relaxing in the evenings. There are 3 more TVs inside along with streaming services, DVD players, and so many movies to choose from that provided plenty of distraction on the 2 rainy days during our week long stay. They also provided two different gaming systems along with games that my youngest son enjoyed. I had to do a little bit of work while there and the WIFI worked with no issues, even while family members were streaming on other devices. Water pressure was great, the bidet was AWESOME (I want one for my own house), check-in was easy, the host responded quickly when we had a question, extra pillows & blankets were available, and all appliances worked well. Thank you for sharing your home & a great experience!"
