The manager was amazing even though expedia mixed up bookings he was super nice even offered to help wih getting our bags out of the boot. We got upgraded and the house was amazing. Clean, with personal touches - we wished could of stayed longer.

The motel is a little older but well looked after, clean & tidy. The unit was just the right size, with 2 beds, a small kitchen and a tidy bathroom. The shower head was great with excellent water pressure! We received clean towels and bathroom amenities each day of our stay. Host was lovely and very helpful. Town, restaurants, supermarkets only a short 4min drive up the road. Would highly recommend for those on a budget.

The motelier (Stephen) was very friendly and made us feel very welcome and at home, as soon as we arrived. If you have been driving all day, from Wellington to Gisborne, the last thing that you need is a non-friendly person to meet you, but Stephen was totally awesome/wonderful. The motel was very quiet too. The beds were comfortable. The swimming pool was refreshing. I will stay at this motel again.

Loved our night at the Traveller's Inn, on arrival our payment was processed quickly and we were shown to our rooms and even offered help with our bags! The rooms were very nice, clean comfortable beds, bathroom clean and hygienic tape over toilet to show its clean! All kitchen necessities, kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave and a free snall bottle of milk for tea and coffee, a nice touch! One room we had a whitetail which was removed by Stephen and he left us with bug dpray just in case, after returning from dinner we found another and removed tgat one too and advised Stephen on our leaving and he was apologetic and will ensure the room is checked! Really enjoyed staying here and will definitely be staying again and 100% recommend! Thank you to Stephen and team for a lovely stay

Excellent place to stay. Park right at your entry in extra wide spaces. Stayed in room #3, 3 nights in mid-November 2025. Negatives: Cost was a bit higher & No USB ports. Positives: Easy check-in. Front desk service was above normal. Room was quiet, clean, & comfortable. Water was instant hot. Nice full kitchen with: microwave, refrigerator, 2 place stovetop, kettle, toaster, full set of chefs knives, glasses, plates, silverware, & more. Abundantly provided Coffee & Teas (Ceylon & English breakfast). Silverware/ceramics were clean. Wi-fi worked well. TV worked well with 50+ channels. Hand-held shower head option, Laundry on-site (which I needed to do one carry-on bag - includes free detergent: $6 to wash & $4 to dry with time remaining. Check-out was easy, just leave the key in the room. Final thoughts: I really liked this place, right up there with the best.
