"Matera was absolutely breathtaking! The room was small but you can appreciate the history in which you are staying. Would have liked to use the pool but it cost extra and you need a reservation to use it. Breakfast was great! "

"We had a late arrival by train and an early departure so really appreciated the convenience to the train terminal. The area didn’t have much to offer in terms of charm or ambiance, but the hotel was a lovely oasis and great stop over for us. Staff was great, room was lovely, clean, equipped and quiet. And again, th location worked out great for us. "

"The hotel is incredible and the staff is as well. We absolutely loved our stay. It was truly a unique experience. However, guests should know that because the hotel is literally incorporated into the caves, it can be physically demanding climbing all the stone stairs. People with mobility issues will definitely struggle at this hotel"
