Lovely, peaceful location. Impeccably clean suite. Short walk to Soames Hill Park. If it is a clear day make sure you walk the few hundred stairs up to the top for the view. Spectacular!

Fabulous retreat with stunning views, private deck and hot tub. Super Clean and set up with all you need to enjoy a wee break and relax. Would advise having a car though as shops restaurants etc are not within walking distance. We would stay here again!

Beautiful property away from the city life. Very nice and modern. A little difficult to relax when there are so many rules and signs. Hot tub was very nice. Location of it was outside of the bedroom window and woke us up during the night.

You were one of the loudest guests we had in a while and it sounded like you relaxed just fine. Also you are the first guests in years who said you woke up at night. It’s very quiet here and no one ever complained. Additionally, you left quite a bit of mess. I would not recommend you to other hosts and regret not leaving our own rating for you of 2 stars, which I considered leaving.

Quiet and secluded cozy stay
Well maintained and stocked one bedroom suite with stunning views. Hot tub isn't operational in the summer to conserve the water usage. The area is very quiet and easy to enjoy. Trips to the restaurants in Gibsons are about 10 min long and cost about $15-$20 per ride. Will definitely come back again!

The space was absolutely stunning and sparkling clean. The bed was comfortable and the view was breath taking. It was easy enough to get a cab so we could go out and have a few cocktails, but the space was so nice we hardly wanted to leave! Highly recommend, I can't wait to go back!

My son and I had a great time at the Cat's Meow for our first trip to Gibsons! Gorgeous view of the ocean greeted us each day, and the manicured landscape and sparkling clean premises were much appreciated. The wifi worked perfectly, but tv channels are limited. However, we spent a lot of the time in and about town so that wasn't a big problem at all. For any issues that did come up (including me needing Tylenol late at night when the stores were closed), the owners were very helpful and did their best to make our stay very memorable!

Irina's suite is clean and bright and has everything you could need for a relaxing getaway. The view from the deck and hot tub is unparalleled. Three days was not nearly enough. I'll definitely be returning.

Wonderful Getaway
The Cat's Meow is exactly as advertised. The view is spectacular and we had a great deal of privacy. It was a beautiful place to unwind. The unit is modern and we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the extensive TV channel selection. We're not usually hot tub people, but we used it every night. It was a perfect way to end a day of hiking and enjoying much of what Gibson's and the Sunshine Coast offered. This wasn't an issue for us, but the location is high up the hill (reason for the great view.) So you need to drive to get to all the major activities Gibsons has to offer. Everything was usually within 5-8 minutes driving. We walked to Persephone Brewing (so we can have more than one drink) and that took about 30 minutes. Overall, we loved our stay at the Cat's Meow. I'm sure you'll enjoy it too.

Always a Great Stay
I've lost count of how many times my husband and I have stayed at Cat's Meow since we discovered it 3 years ago (I think we're coming up to our 7th stay now?), but it has always been and still is such a fantastic property. It truly is a real gem! We would highly recommend it and are confident that you would not regret booking here. My husband and I certainly plan to keep going back regularly as long as Irina will have us! :)

This was by-far one of the most convenient, beautiful and well-kept property we've stayed at. The view is absolutely breathtaking -an added bonus of watching ferries enter and leave the harbor while enjoying a beverage from your private hot tub. The owners provided phenomenal service. Awesome view!
My husband and I wanted a nice little getaway from Vancouver and the Cats Meow was the perfect place to be. We had everything that we could need for 3 nights away. The view is spectacular! The suite is so clean and is very comfortable. The bed was so cozy that it was hard to get up in the morning. But the view and the sunrise are not to be missed. We didn't meet Irena but all her instructions were very clear that there was no need to bother her. Thanks for letting us stay at your wonderful suite - we will be back!

The place was sparkling clean just as was promised. It had incredible views and the hot-tub was a cherry on the cake. Just a note the kitchen does not have an oven, but is otherwise well equipped. I highly recommend a stay here :)

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cats Meow. The view with the hot tub can’t be beat. We were careful to follow the rules laid out in the house manual as we didn’t want any extra charges. The only thing that didn’t work for us was the 1 roll of toilet paper for a 2 night stay. We ended up getting our own because it just wasn’t enough. Beautiful area - we hope to stay again soon.

Wow, Wow and just Wow! We were completely blown away by the immaculately clean property and the accompanying breath taking view. The contemporary style interiors were very tastefully done with the colorful fireplace complementing the view. Highly recommended!

Great place for a weekend get-away
The Cat's Meow was a lovely place to spend a relaxing weekend. Irina's attention to detail and caring for the suite was much appreciated. Everything was super clean and we used the hot tub with confidence. We spent many hours soaking up the gorgeous view and enjoyed the comfortable bed at the end of the day. We would definitely return.

Beautiful spot to relax
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view can't be beat, especially from the hot tub! Everything was immaculate. Only suggestion is to add drinking glasses and basic/stemless wine glasses, and food storage containers. We hope to be able to stay here again someday. Note that walking to the property from the ferry terminal is not realistic unless it's daylight and you have only a backpack - it's uphill, no sidewalks and no street lights. It's a quick, $8-10 taxi from the terminal to the property.

Thanks for the review, Erin. Just one thing to add. As for glasses, I'm kind of confused as I have large drinking glasses, wine glasses (not stemless), abundance of tea cups in there. In a year and a half of running my business this is a first :-)

You Are Destined For Failure
My advice to any traveler thinking of booking here is; “You are destined for failure”. There are 4 pages of rules you have to read on the day you arrive at this property with 5 paragraphs in bold and red. She only provides 1 roll of toilet paper for a 3 day stay because she is saving the environment. In the meantime there is diesel equipment running up and down the property that no longer has trees because they have all been destroyed to make room for rocks. My wife and I both ended up with hot tub rash. As I later found out this is caused by a poorly maintained hot tub. We threw a few Kleenex in the small compost container and lost part of our damage deposit because she said she had to pick through the compost and remove the Kleenex. They have nonstick frying pans that are so old they have lost all ability to prevent sticking. No lids big enough to be used for cooking. No oven. No dishwasher. No rack to dry the dishes after you hand wash them. Again “You are destined for failure”.

I understand how a $50 deduction from a deposit for breaking rules can be upsetting but to lie about so many things including a hot tub rash is just low. Funny, but in my correspondence to you dirty hot tub was one of the reasons for charging cleaning fee, and in your response to me not a single mention of any rash. I have an impeccable record and was given the badge of Superhost on airbnb. Numerous guests who visited had nothing but an amazing experience here. You asked me to remove the $50 cleaning fee at the time of booking and I did and what I got after you left was an enormous amount of cleaning, including ruined pillow cases, and a hot tub full of dirt, sand and hair. There should be no surprises for anyone about the amenities provided in the suite, as there is a full disclosure in the listing. Again, I didn't expect a positive review from you, but to go to such an extent as to try to discredit me and my business is simply distasteful and speaks volumes about you. Nevertheless, I wish you well and hope this experience will teach you to be more respectful of peoples' properties and their rules.

This was our first trip to the sunshine coast for my wife and I and it was a great stay. The cat's meow is a really cool place with an absolutely incredible view and I do mean icredible. The pictures just don't capture it. What a great little suite and it has everything you will need for a mini vay-cay !
