"This is a beautiful house and stay -- my only advice to be very exact about *which city and plaza* you meet the property manager at, as we had the wrong Santa Maria plaza entirely! Other than that, a truly magical building, waterfall, and stay."

We did a lot of walking to get around Bellagio and fortunately had good weather. Very comfortable place with mostly all the items you need to get by. You’re in one of the apartments of the palazzo, the host lives on site as well, and one half of the palazzo is used as an b&b, private use of the huge garden. "The location is excellent and the view from this property is stunning! Literally walk out your front door and down the steps to the main road lining Varenna. Very walkable! We knew the age of the house based on pictures and description, which is why it was charming and felt “old Italy,” but age did show with some things, like the upstairs bathroom.
