"We stayed one night with half board for a quick trip to the Vosges. The hotel is very nice, modern, and clean with good parking. We used the pool, which was relaxing after a longish drive. We did not take advantage of the spa, although the treatments on offer seemed good (and I was tempted by the back massage). The dinner was great. It was a four-course meal with fresh salad and a very well appointed cheese selection. Before our departure, we also used the ping pong table in the garden, which...

Hotel Restaurant & Spa Verte Vallée

10/10 Excellent

"This was a great experience - we will absolutely be back. Fantastic hotel and great value for money!"

A large, charming waterfront retreat in Gérardmer. Spa / Sauna / Wi-Fi

8/10 Good

Chalet in a quiet location, private pond for fishing or swimming - 5 Bedrooms-

10/10 Excellent

Campanile Epinal Centre - Gare

8/10 Good

"It’s some years since I stayed in a Campanile and I think this one was a recent development. Very good , though rooms are quite small. Unpretentious but quite adequate breakfast, decent beer, very friendly & helpful staff, and even some simple pre-prepared meals, which saved us having to find a restaurant after a late arrival."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Gerbamont?

The best area to stay in Gerbamont is directly within the village centre, particularly around the church and mairie (town hall).

This central area offers convenient access to local amenities. You'll find the village's main shop, bakery, and a few small eateries within a short walk. The roads here are generally quiet, making it pleasant for strolling.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will appreciate staying in the heart of Gerbamont. It provides a peaceful base for exploring the surrounding Vosges mountains, with easy access to hiking trails and scenic drives. You can enjoy a quiet evening meal at a local restaurant or pick up fresh produce for a cosy night in.

For families, staying near the village centre is also a good option. It means less reliance on a car for daily needs, and children can enjoy the open spaces and the gentle pace of village life.

When is the best time to go to Gerbamont?

The best time to go to Gerbamont largely depends on whether you're seeking winter sports or warm-weather outdoor activities.

For those keen on skiing, snowboarding, or other winter sports, the period from December to March is ideal. You'll find plenty of opportunities for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, making it great for active couples or families looking for a winter getaway.

If you prefer hiking, cycling, or enjoying the lakes, then May to September offers the most pleasant weather. The summer months bring warm temperatures, great for exploring the many trails in the surrounding forests, swimming in Lac de Gérardmer, or simply relaxing by the water.
