Romantic Log Cabin in the Woods - Hot Tub under the Stars -80 km's from CN Tower

Just an hour from downtown Toronto- you'll find this This Romantic 1bedroom Rustic Cabin which was resurrected from the original homestead using a lot of the old barn boards and tin roof from the original homestead.+++ to re-invent this Cabin -Just for Couples!

Play Horse shoes in the Summer & Go Snow shoeing(2 pairs provided) in the winter on our short trails (provided) or go to the York Regional Forest (Brownhill tract) just 5kms away where there's 200kms of slightly rolling sandy trails for hiking with your dog, running or snow shoeing.
Escape the busy world we live in and feel safe and secure behind automatic gates yet The Cabin is less than 10 minutes from two towns (Keswick and Sutton) for your grocery or restaurant needs and beautiful Lake Simcoe is just 7-8minutes away. Sibbalds point provincial park is just 15 minutes away and has a dog lake park on Lake Simcoe and hiking trails
The Cabin in the Woods is a hybrid cabin...
- Solar powered lights/ceiling fan & cell phone chargers so please turn off lights in the rooms you're not in in the winter months when we don't have as much sun.
Propane heat/stove/On demand hot water, the plugs are regular hydro.
Although it looks like a wood stove - Your main source of heat is a thermostatically controlled Propane fireplace[Not wood] The real Firepit is outside!
If you book your time in the Cabin when the moon is full - you'll experience sleeping under two huge skylights as the moon passes over you (you may need Sun...er...moonglasses )and as an added bonus hear the Coyote’s howling off in the distance! Although you can hear them year round- you'll not see them.
You will see Squirrels (Please do not fed them), Lots of bunnies and so many birds and their songs.
We have a resident Barred owl who resides in a tree in the winter near The Cabin's driveway and not only will you hear her at night in- You may see her during the day around the cabin. Sometimes she fly's just above your car as you are driving in!
In the spring/Summer - you'll often have the resident Red Cardinal tapping on your windows [See photo].
The Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking with many pots /pans/Dinnerware/Cutlery/ Spices & condiments
We even get you started with Eggs/butter /Kielbasa /Cream & Sugar for your coffee or Tea. {fully stocked Keurig Machine] and all the necessary condiments like ketchup, relish mustard etc.-Eat In the breakfast nook surrounded by glass on all 3 exterior walls.
So..... just bring the rest of your food and clothes & relax together making wonderful memories in' The Cabin'!
Bring Slippers/Robe in the winter for the 10' quick mad dash back inside from the Hot tub.
-There’s a games loft (Scrabble, bridge, Bespoke puzzles ,Cards, Checkers) to reconnect with your loved one and is attached to the Loft bedroom by a bridge!
Yes, that's right- There's a Bridge inside the cabin- Its famous now

-We have a covered wrap around deck and an outdoor BBQ to enjoy a sunny southern wooded, very private oasis right beside the hot tub.
Enjoy Smores on the outside firepit -But pick up some firewood (most gas stations and home hardware stores have bags for sale.)
Another 2,000' through the woods and down the winding driveway is our Main Residence (don't worry- you won't see us as you have your own driveway and everything is built to secure your privacy away from the main driveway unless you want to or come and meet the horses.)
Sibbald's Point provincial park is just a 15 minute drive - explore their trails and go swimming and they have a dog beach too on Lake Simcoe

Dogs are welcome ! Please brush your shedding dogs Before you come and vacuum before leaving and let me know what kind they are-All are welcome- We just like to know and We made the trails by the cabin to walk and empty out your dogs! You'll see the signs.

Although we do have internet/wifi here in *The Cabin* Please forgive us for our country internet is not very fast.
If 100% wifi/Internet is imperative for you to work while at The Cabin -you can either add extra data during your stay or go to the local Tim Hortons coffee shop 7 Kms away in Sutton.
NO Candles, incense or open flame of any kind.- After all The Cabin is All Wood both inside and out!
For Ambience --Please bring battery operated flickering candles instead- But you do have the propane fireplace for heat and ambiance all winter as well.

We've got some interesting suggestions to see and do and a few really nice restaurants in our guide book inside the cabin. ( but book them when you first get in so to assure your reservation)
We just put in a brand new 10' mattress with 3" of memory foam in late November /23
As a side note, there has been a country music video shot inside the cabin
https://youtube.be/tuAZryZxqs0
and an Urban Planet winter PJ's layout shot in the Cabin. So we're getting famous! :)
Please ask me if you want to meet the 4 Quarter horses that reside here.
I'd love to introduce you if I am not at a horse show. BUT.... The admission fee is Carrots!:}
If you watch Yellowstone - this are some of the events we compete in. So come meet in real life what you've been watching on TV :}

The property was secluded, private and unique. The hot tub under the stars was perfect as well as viewing the stars as you drifted off asleep! Owner was very hospitable and answered and messages/questions right away. There were lots of little thoughtful extras to make our stay enjoyable! A wonderful and unique find!

Relaxing and quiet
Beautiful peaceful place to reconnect with rhe wife on her birthday. No reason to go out to eat a full kitchen there to use. The skylights in the bedroom were amazing as we had a full moon those nights and watching the sunrise in bed was amazing as well

Great out of the way spot
A great place to get away from it all to relax and recharge. The cabin is cozy and was perfect for us and our dog. Gives that feeling of isolation but still close enough to town you can get anything you need. A bonus for us was the time we got to spend in the horse barn with the new foals. Marie was a great host and helped make this trip something extra special with the time we spent with the horses.

Perfect Cozy Winter Getaway
We had such a lovely stay at the cabin. It is the perfect cozy place for a little getaway. Marie answered all messages very quickly and decorated the place in such a warm and inviting way. There are lots of walking trails nearby, and they even provide snow shoes if you’re lucky to have enough snow.

Christmas at the Cabin
A cozy, relaxing and warm atmosphere! Our stay was a week long and even though we were met with rain most days, it did not dampen our spirits. The cabin is a perfect getaway - lots of things to do! At the cabin: read, crafts, games, bonfires and hot tubing. Maybe even meet the horses! Close by: excellent hiking trails, boutique shops, antiques, and picturesque drives. We definitely recommend! Love that it’s perfect for couples and pet friendly.
