"Loved our stay here! The whole building was very neat. Our room was spotless and very large. Short drive to Deadwood for more food options, but enjoyed being able to leave the busy deadwood area when we were done. "
"This was a historic hotel with amazing character. We will definitely be staying here again. The bed, sheets, and pillows were the best we've ever slept on. This was reasonably priced compared to other hotels in this area and was in walking distance of downtown. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly!"

JR's Hideaway- Secluded Cabin on 3.5 acres in Northern Black Hills
10/10 Excellent
"Location was perfect for what we wanted, we were about 1.5-2 hours in all directions from the major parks. The sleeping arrangements were nice for our 3 generational family with a bedroom on the main floor. The driveway getting up was fine for our SUV rental, but def be careful of the uneven/rocky road in a smaller vehicle! The deck was nice for watching deer and birds. This was a great stay for us! I will just add there was no hair dryer, only one laundry pod, and still pet hair on the rugs (which I expect a little being a pet friendly home, but this was a lot). We didn’t mind but just a warning for people who are allergic. My husband did also have to clean out the dishwasher and hot tub filters. I don’t want to complain because the cabin was great! That’s why this is still honestly a 5 star review, but I think the cleanliness could’ve been addressed a tad better. Check in and out process was super easy."
Steel Pines Cabin! Hot Tub! A-frame! Pet-friendly! Sauna!
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous A-frame, we loved it. Nicely designed interior, well provisioned, memorable view, and the hot tub was such a perk. Our pup loved it too. If you plan to grill, check ahead that there is propane. "
Spacious 2-Level Custom Craftsman Style Lodge w/ Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Clubhouse
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay. The clubhouse was a getaway, too. Heated pool, splash pad, baby pool, something for everyone! The area was close enough to all the landmarks. The house fit our beeds perfectly!"
"Overall, it was great. We had some storms come through a couple days that left 5-10" of snow. The power went out, but not the fault of VRBO or J&J. Mother Nature can not be predicted. Anyone staying there would be pleased...very spacious. The home could use some updating, but otherwise, I'd stay again!!"

"Another beautiful home! What started 5 years ago as a surprise 40th birthday, has turned into an annual trip that we look forward to! Always easy to communicate with and homes are always beautiful!"
