"Customer service was superb, the room perfect in a beautiful historic hotel."

"Pros: As close to Plaza Principe train station as you can get. Super convenient for a train the next morning. The staff was very pleasant and professional. The rooms were generously sized - we had a family room and had two full-size bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Cons: This is a budget hotel at a not-budget price. Towels are thin and small, beds were saggy, one thin pillow per person. There is one master light switch that controls the power for the whole room, but it's not labeled and no one mentioned it at check-in. This includes the a/c, which turned off several times during the night. The elevator is an old cage elevator that can only hold 2 people, and several times other guests didn't close the door at other levels so it wouldn't arrive. We did not have breakfast, but it looked average. If you need a quick stop for an overnight stay with minimal hassle getting to the train station, this is great. If you want anything else, look elsewhere."

"This was once a grand hotel, now a little past its prime. But it was perfectly good for our needs: a quiet (very quiet) place to sleep and grab a meal the night before a very early flight out. The restaurant's food was excellent. Our room was very large and comfortable. Very easy walking distance to the terminal as well as car rental."

"Beautiful lobby, bar area and room. We got the family room which was an absolute delight and pleasant surprise. Two large adjacent luxurious rooms with fantastic amenities and toiletries. The staff is very quick to respond and bring any additional needs requested. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have a good system of reserving taxis if needed and can do this in a jiffy. Breakfast was great at the hotel too. Since it is in the city center, the noise level at night time is something that takes a little adjustment (ambulances, scooters, cars) driving by but the room was so good that it was a little compromise to make. Kids loved the room! Wish we would have stayed more. The old style elevator adds a touch of charm as well!"

"Great hotel and would definitely stay again. The pool is fantastic and there’s a good range of food at the breakfast buffet. Unfortunately we had to change rooms after the third night of our stay as they couldn’t accommodate us in the same room for all 4 nights (we did know this before arriving) - the new room had no working tv (not a big deal I know) or aircon and it was really hot that day/night. The staff at reception did provide a fan for the room, but it wasn’t great. Other than that the stay was very enjoyable."

"Beautiful boutique hotel... gorgeous old elevator, nice staff, INCREDIBLE SHOWER. Maybe the best I've ever been in. Great restaurants nearby... my only warning is that walking to the port or the old city center you have to go through some real rough looking areas. First time I was ever scared in Italy. That was a bummer."
