A Place to Return to

This is a great place to stay: welcoming, very clean, everything you’d expect to be provided is there. The views from the window (20th floor) of Genoa and the surrounding hills are fantastic. It’s close to shops, supermarkets and restaurants and only 2 minutes walk from the House of Christopher Columbus. The biggest plus of all is Andrea, the owner who will greet you and make sure everything works smoothly for you.

In the heart in Genova - 10 wonderful days

Andreea is a great host! Very easy pleasant communications with her. Andreea welcomed us with a big smile even though we arrived an hour late in the late evening, because our plane was delayed. She explained everything what we needed to know about her amazing studio apartment and answered all our questions and more. The studio apartment is even better in person than in the pictures. It is very spacious with incredible views from 20th floor. It has everything you need to have for a short vacation stay and all the necessary amenities that you have in your own home. It is close to the main city square, a 5-minute walk from Piazza de Ferrari. Very easy access to public transit, not far away from Brignole train station. You can easily walk to all main attractions and grocery stores. You can’t beat the price for this studio apartment compared to overpriced hotels. We loved our stay and would love to stay again. Grazie mille, Andreea!

This apartment was in the perfect location and was even more amazing than I thought it would be! We wish we could’ve stayed longer than one night. It was about a three minute walk to some amazing restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to the aquarium. We will definitely stay here again. Nice apartment pretty much as described.

Very prompt with communication. Only communication problems I think were on my end with cruddy service on my phone. There is a nice view including a fountain up the street. I wouldn’t recommend straying too far from the building at night. A few blocks away started to get sketchy after 11 pm in my opinion.

Nothing but Wonderful

The apartment is perfect! Just steps away from the Piazza with great dining options. It has amazing views, extremely comfortable beds and was stocked with everything we could think of that we needed: from thoughtful breakfast snacks to extra body wash to a generous amount of towels, Andreea makes sure that the apartment has she been it all. Speaking of Andreea, I have never had a host as exceptional of her in any place around the world we have stayed. She knew we were driving in and told us not to rush, to enjoy our time and that she would be available anytime, for no extra charge. When she knew we were close, she ran downstairs and stood in a parking spot to save it for us (must have been 15 minutes as I got lost coming in). My dad wanted a few items from the store, and not only did she tell him where to go, she drove him to the store and back...very thoughtful and extremely helpful. To top it all off, in a country where I was very limited to speak the language, her English was exceptional and made it very east to communicate with. We will stay again when in Genoa and wish other hosts could be half as amazing as Andreea!

Comfortable, clean apartment; great location; wonderful hostess

Andreea was very communicative even before we arrived. She was waiting for us outside the building, helped us with our several suitcases and bags and led us to the lovely 20th floor apartment in one of Genoa's original skyscrapers ("i grattacieli"). The apartment was large (for a one-room studio), spotlessly clean (including the towels and bed-linens), well-designed, well-equipped and comfortable. Flat and fizzy water, as well as capsules for the coffee maker, biscotti for breakfast or a snack, plenty of towels, pillows, liquid soap and shampoo were all at our disposal. The air conditioning worked perfectly; it kept the apartment cool, but not refrigerated. The apartment is wonderfully located on the Piazza Dante, a few steps from the Piazza De Ferrari and the Porta Soprana. Another few steps and you find yourself at the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Strada Nuova (now named Via Garibaldi), the port of Genoa... If I were to allow myself one criticism, it is the lack of drawer and/or shelf space. This is a criticism that I have of most hotels and apartments that I visit. I do NOT "travel light" and I like to unpack. The only differences between Andreea's apartment and a four or five star hotel are: (1) there is no daily maid service and (2) there IS a hostess who is always available on WhatsApp or by telephone, who cares about her guests. Grazie mille, cara Andreea, per aver reso tanto piacevole il nostro soggiorno a Genova!
