If peace and happiness exist, this is where you’ll find them.

The Mylittlenormandy property in Genneville is a haven of peace and tranquillity set in the idyllic countryside of the Normandy bocage. Nestled in the countryside on the edge of a forest, the only sounds you’ll hear are birdsong. Perfect for a holiday with friends or family.
There are usually two ponies in the property's field (a fenced-in area adjacent to the garden)
You can find Mylittlenormandy ‘Maison de Genneville’ on mylittlenormandy and via the contact page.
It enjoys an ideal south-facing aspect and is always bathed in sunshine, as is the terrace, which opens directly onto the kitchen and dining room. The sunset behind the hill is a magical moment.
If you love absolute peace and quiet, tranquillity, nature and the countryside, this house is made for you ! It is situated in the heart of the countryside in a small valley. Your nearest neighbours will be our ponies and the cows on the hill opposite.
The property covers a 1-hectare field; the garden is enclosed and is maintained year-round by a gardener. The field with the ponies is adjacent to the garden but separated by a fence.
You can set off for a walk along the little paths straight from the house. There are plenty of wonderful walks to enjoy. A small river is accessible from the property’s field. Your children will love going off to explore!
This house, which we call ‘Genneville’ after the village where it is located, has been in our family for four generations. We have completely renovated it with my friend, an interior designer and creator. We designed the renovation in an authentic vintage style, with a focus on openness, light and well-being, where every detail has been carefully considered.
Meals can be prepared for your arrival by a local chef (or at another time during your stay). Nathalie, house keeper can collect your shopping from the hypermarket (Drive) before your arrival.
The terrace has been extended with a teak deck where you can enjoy wonderful sunbathing in the deckchairs. Charcoal BBQ and teak garden furniture (table for 10 people) The kitchen, dining room and living room are open rooms. The dining table has two extension leaves and can seat up to 10 people. The wood-burning stove is very cosy when the evening chill sets in.
Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor: the ‘country-style’ bedroom and the ‘children’s’ bedroom with two bunk beds. These bedrooms can be accessed directly from the living room, as well as from the terrace and the garden. The third bedroom, the ‘blue’ bedroom, is situated on a mezzanine level, accessible from the living room. The first floor is sure to be your children’s favourite spot. There they will find a blackboard, a Playmobil play area and a TV corner with a large screen. A double bed is situated on the mezzanine. The bedding is top-of-the-range.
Bed sizes: - “Blue” and “Country” bedrooms: 160 x 200 - Mezzanine: 140 x 190 - Bedroom with bunk beds: 90 x 200 - Single beds in the attic: 90 x 200 A high chair and a cot are available for your use.
PLEASE NOTE: Only two bedrooms (the ‘country’ bedroom and the ‘blue’ bedroom) have a door. The ground-floor bedroom with the two bunk beds is separated from the living room by a curtain, and the double bed on the mezzanine connects to the two single beds. You must cross the first floor (the area with the mezzanine and the two single beds) to access the bathroom.
The house is a century-old Norman farmhouse which, despite our best efforts, still bears some signs of its age and its natural surroundings.
Although the house can accommodate 10 people, it is best suited for 8 people in bad weather when the garden cannot be used.
A surcharge is automatically applied from October to April for firewood (€10 per day).
A supplement of €25 is charged per pet. Whilst our furry friends are welcome, they must not be allowed in the bedrooms or on the sofas, which are very light in colour.
Finally, bed linen and towels are provided as an OPTION – €25 per double bed and €20 per single bed – and the beds will be made for you on arrival.
The times stated (check-in after 5pm and check-out before 11am) apply where two bookings overlap to allow for cleaning. Otherwise, there are no time restrictions – to be agreed upon.
We also rent out another house located 5 minutes’ drive away: Mylittlenormandy “Maison d’Ablon”. A thatched cottage fully renovated in 2023.

Merci encore !!!
