Welcome to La Bécassière, an authentic family Norman house nestled in the heart of a preserved natural environment, just a few minutes from Honfleur.

Passed down through several generations, this property full of history is a true haven of peace. In the early morning or at dusk, it is not unusual to see deer or roe deer peacefully crossing the garden.

Surrounded by family-owned woodland, where woodcocks find shelter during the winter, the house takes its name from this unique, rich and living environment.

Here, the charm of the old is fully embraced: exposed beams, antique terracotta floor tiles, wood, period materials, antique furniture, family objects, old shells, souvenirs and countryside decoration.

Some decorative elements linked to the world of hunting are also present in certain rooms, such as deer antlers, trophies or taxidermy heads, visible in some photos. These elements are part of the history and identity of this family home.

La Bécassière is not a new, standardised or impersonal house. You will clearly be staying in a true family second home, passed down from father to son, with its soul, its history, its old materials, its scents of wood, fireplace and country house.

The atmosphere is very pleasant, warm and welcoming, ideal for a truly authentic Norman break, in a peaceful house shaped by time.

Like any large old house in the countryside, it may have certain particularities linked to its age and natural environment: scents of old wood, weathered materials, irregularities, beams, antique terracotta tiles, traces of time or the occasional presence of small cobwebs in certain corners, despite the care taken with cleaning.

We regularly make improvements to the house and garden in order to make the spaces even more pleasant, while preserving the authenticity of the place.

This property will appeal to lovers of nature, peace and authenticity, looking for a warm, simple and refreshing stay. Guests looking for a modern, new, very minimalist or perfectly standardised accommodation are invited to carefully look at the photos to make sure that the spirit of the place matches their expectations.

The garden is not shared, but it is open and not fenced. The house is located next to another family house, with no fence between the two. The whole setting retains a family, peaceful and respectful spirit, in a countryside environment.

Above the house, a very pleasant woodland area offers lovely nature walks in a calm and preserved setting.

At the far end of the property, there is a small kennel belonging to the owner of the neighbouring house. A few dogs live there. They are kind and used to the place, but we kindly ask you not to approach them, feed them, pet them or interact with them.

✨ The 12 x 5 m swimming pool is one of the property’s real highlights and offers a particularly enjoyable relaxation area during the summer season.

Heated and reserved exclusively for guests staying at the house, it allows you to fully enjoy the peace and natural surroundings in complete privacy.

The pool area is secured by a fence with a pedestrian gate and also has an electric protective cover. The swimming pool is accessible and heated from May to September, depending on weather conditions and any maintenance periods required to ensure its proper operation.

In order to preserve the quality of the place and its equipment, we kindly ask guests to respect a few simple rules of good use: do not throw anything into the pool, avoid inappropriate or dangerous behaviour and respect the calm of the property.

⚠️ For safety reasons, children as well as anyone who cannot swim or is not fit to swim must remain under the permanent and active supervision of their parents or guardians.

⚠️ The house can only accommodate the number of guests stated in the booking, both during the day and at night.

For insurance, safety and respect for the property, outside visitors and additional undeclared guests are not allowed without prior agreement.

Parties, gatherings, festive events and celebrations are strictly forbidden.

Peace and quiet are essential: noise disturbance is not suited to the spirit of the place.
