Saw moths flying in the room and two big areas of moth eaten carpet Also flying Israeli flag which is odd given the genocide in Gaza taking place

Disappointingly mediocre

No air conditioner as advertised. For the record there is an air conditioner, it does turn on, it just blows warm air at an incredibly low speed, so it does not actually conditions the air. The front desk people were not particularly polite but at least they upgraded me to a larger room, sadly the air conditioner there was just as useless so I had to leave the hotel, only spent one very miserable night there, I left the next morning

All the staff were wonderful from reception staff to breakfast staff. Very helpful in arranging public transport for me and getting a charger for my phone. The mini bar was helpful too as I arrived late in the evening and was thirsty.

As I said before the kindness of staff at the front desk and the kitchen is exemplary showing a readiness to make the guests feel comfortable and happy in the hotel environment. No effort was spared to do so based on my own experience.

Located on a tram road opposite supermarket. Tram and various bus stages 3 and 6 minutes away respectively. Twin room is rather small with no coffee making facilities. High standard of cleanliness mantained. Noise from trams/road bearable

Pros - Good location, good price for Geneva, easy check-in and welcoming staff, comfy beds. Cons - The shower is very small and the shower curtain keeps sticking to your body. Not a fun experience. I had to stand sideways to shower and have my wife pull the curtain away from me to finish showering. Please add heavier shower curtains or circular shaped curtain rods to give more space. Good hotel overall, just a bad shower experience.

Stay away until it has been renovated

Dear tentative guests and manager at hotel Diplomate in Geneve I stayed at the hotel for two nights in October 2022. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the hotel has an acute need for renovation and continous maintenance. Here are some example: - The lights in the elevator turned off when you closed the door. This made it difficult to push the right botton. - The staircase and hallways had dirty and filthy carpets with a lot of visible dust. - The room also had a carpet with a lot of visible dust and patches. - The aircondition did not function and made the room very warm and fug. Hence, there is an acute need for renovation and continous maintenance to make this a safe, nice and afordable hotel that fits theso called 4 stars. With the current 4 star rating, this was a great dissappointment. It should be a 2 star rating to be a fair rating for what you get for the money. I am sorry, but the simple conclusion is that without renovation and continous maintenance, I would never book this hotel again and cannot recommend it to anyone else.
