It was a great property, with an awesome view. Would definitely recommend for couples and small family looking for some peace and quiet. It’s extremely close to the parkway as well which is convenient.

Amazing Getaway

Cameron and Jaime were great hosts. We enjoy our stay and can't wait to come back. This cabin was beautiful and new. Sad to see it being sold. Thank you for a great time.

House of the rising sun

Very nice property. View was exceptional. Everything that was expected. If it weren’t for a leak when it rained one night the visit would be nearly flawless.

Beautiful fall view and cozy well kept cabin

Cameron was very nice and professional to deal with and the home was perfect for our getaway. The fall foliage was stunning from this lovely cabin.

Fall Getaway

Nice, quiet, clean stay in a beautiful cabin up a windy mtn road near Gatlinburg. We enjoyed lots of hiking and a little bit of shopping with plenty of relaxing as well. A great place to get away from the world for awhile.

Warm Welcome

We were greeted by a bear as we unloaded our vehicle! After the surprise, we enjoyed the beautiful clean cabin. It was exactly like the photos portrayed it. Amazing views. Highly recommend “The House of the Rising Sun”.

Gatlinburg trip

The pictures don’t do this property justice. It was spotless and just as represented. The leaves were changing and the view from deck was beautiful. The host was very responsive and worked with us to extend our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone.

WELCOME TO THE SMOKEYS

Beautiful views in this perfectly located mountaintop cabin, just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg but in the middle of beautiful scenery. House of the rising Sun was everything you would want for a family getaway. Hosts communicated well and made our stay great. Would stay again. Thanks so much!

Great newer cabin in the smokey mountains

The cabin was a great stay for our family of 5 for 2 nights. Beautiful sunrise and loved the knotty pine rustic finish, big island, pool table, and hot tub after a long day in Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountains. Owner was quick to respond and informative. Thank you!

Unforgettable Mountain Retreat

The property is beautiful! As our family of four arrived at the home we were greeted by a bear. It was an amazing site to see. We unlocked the door to an amazing wilderness view and a beautiful home. Our teenage daughter and young adult son definitely enjoyed the lower level. Enjoyed time playing pool and relaxing in the hot tub with a great view. We had a wonderful time at Stephen's home. He is a great host with lots of recommendations. Love the easy to navigate app. It was a great tool to use with all the information you need to check in and out easily. Peddler's Steakhouse Restaurant was very good with a big salad bar.. We had a great time at Dollywood Splash Park and Theme park and went Horseback riding at Jayell Ranch. We would definitely book Stephen's home again!Highly recommend!

Great Gatlinburg get away!

Went on a long family weekend to visit Gatlinburg, Dollywood and the State Park. We had an incredible time. The house was fantastic and the hosts incredibly responsive. Cameron and Jamie made it easy - and had great recommendations. We will absolutely be back!

Quick week in Smokey Mountains.

The property was just as listed and brand new. The hosts were very communicative and responsive. Even saw a bear in the neighborhood. Beautiful views out the windows. The winding drive up the mountain was a new experience for us. We would recommend this property.

Gatlinburg Family Vacation

The home was as beautiful as advertised with picturesque views of the smoky mountains from the kitchen and Living Room. Our boys (ages 10 and 15 yrs) also loved the downstairs space which was like having their own apartment. The location is perfect as well. The home is a short distance drive from both downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We highly recommend the home for anyone looking for a perfect getaway family vacation to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. We had a wonderful trip.

Couldn’t be better!

Our stay was Oct 23 - 26. The fall foliage was at it’s peak. Even more colorful than the listing photos. There is a lot of construction in the area. Good to see the recovery after the fires a few years back. There is a house being built now that is in clear view. Still, a great place to stay.

Dream home

We loved, loved, loved staying at this cabin. The property was very clean and well cared for. The kitchen had everything that we needed to make breakfast and dinner. It was such a treat to sit on the deck and take in the beautiful mountain scenery. The cabin is so comfortable and well designed that we loved ending our day early just to go back to enjoy the beautiful space. Couple tips to other renters: Try to check in during daylight- the curvy mountain roads are a bit to get used to if you're not used to that type of driving....(but WOW, are the views worth it). Also, you'll want to bring dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, hand soap, and TP along with you. If you're looking for a good restaurant- We really loved the food at Cumberland Jack's and The Trout house.

Girls Spring Break Trip

My daughter, granddaughter and I went on a girls trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area and enjoyed our stay at “The House of the Rising Sun”. The home fit us perfectly! We flew into Knoxville and rented a car to drive for the week. We Ziplined with Foxfire Mountain Adventures. Tim and Blake were great! We went to Big Rock Dude Ranch to trail ride in the mountains. The Titanic Museum was a must see! Also the Tram up the mountain to cross the Skybridge with fantastic views. We had fabulous southern foods at the many restaurants suggested. At Paula Deens be sure to try the peach tea and biscuits! We had our photos taken at Four Sisters Old Time Photos. There were a variety of characters offered, but we chose gangsters! We had such fun dressing up and they even had an old pickup truck as part of the many props. I highly recommend staying here for a small group with proximity to many activities. We would definitely come back!
