"This hotel is a little oasis outside of Hermanus. The garden is beautiful full of art and flowers. We really enjoyed eating at the restaurant for the two evenings we were there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfortable and the room spacious. Great view of the sea too."

"The property is under construction! Workmen, noise, dirt and debris everywhere! I had one of the two rooms available but truly they shouldn’t be letting out rooms without notifying guests. The pool was green with some of the construction debris in i I cut my stay short "

"Great staff and location, but room, breakfast and facilities were lacking - did not feel like a 5 star hotel. Our bedroom was often damp, the carpet had wet spots and 1 day our bed sheets had wet patches that we had to blow dry. The bedroom was also directly next to a roundabout so heavy traffic and no privacy to see the views / needed more sound proofing. "

"Carin and her husband and the rest of the staff at Oude schuur guesthouse were amazingly friendly and accommodating. They helped with getting us a car rental and made some excellent suggestions for dinner in the area. The breakfasts were delicious and fresh, the room was spotless with daily housekeeping. We would recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit the Hermanus area. The mountain views from our terrace were spectacular as well. Be sure to book several nights, because you won’t want to leave. We arrived as guests and left as friends."
