3rd Floor Beachfront Condo with a Fantastic view of the Gulf —Sleeps 2.

Our wonderful piece of paradise is a 3rd floor condo located on the east end of Galveston, at Islander East. It is a wonderfully decorated, beachfront, studio condo with an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico. You will be able to enjoy this wonderful view while sitting in 2 tall high-back chairs, so as to see over the railing, with a table in the middle. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine or drink while watching the waves crash right in front of you. The beach is just a few steps away, across the private footbridge and over the dunes.

In the large room, you will find a loveseat and smart TV.

You will also find a very nice Queen-size bed with a comfy Tempurpedic mattress.

In the remodeled Bath, you will find a wonderful walk-in shower with custom tile. There is a little step up into the shower with a gripping handle next to the entrance.

The condo comes with private WiFi. You will be given the login once booked.

In our newly remodeled Kitchenette, you will find a small refrigerator with a small freezer, a 2-burner electric cook-top, and a microwave. We supply also a blender, toaster, and a convection oven for your use. We also have plenty of glasses for your use, pots and pans, and dishes.

A 42" wall-mounted TV can be seen from the bed and sofa. It’s a smart TV so that you access your Netflix, Hulu, etc.

We welcome only 2 guests

Fees that will be charged at the time of booking or just after:

Nightly rental fee; State and City Hotel Taxes of 15%. A cleaning fee of $80 for your stay; A resort Fee of $30; A Property Fee of $15 per night; A VRBO service fee. (This is a percentage of your rental fee set by VRBO); A refundable damage deposit of $100. This is a hold placed on your credit card and it is released 14 days after you depart unless we have to claim damages.

You must be 25 years of age to rent our condo.

Winter Texans are welcome.

During hurricane season, June to November, no refunds will be given unless there is a named category 1 or higher storm heading to Galveston. A change of date may be possible.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa's property. It was exactly as described and then some. It was perfect for a quiet weekend getaway for two. We loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying the ocean views! It was great to be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but a very reasonable drive to enjoy the restaurants and sites. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and equipped with everything we needed for a lovely weekend getaway at the beach. The view of the ocean from the balcony was great. and it was peaceful just to sit and relax with a drink. The beach is a very short walk and was not crowded. We had a wonderful time.

This was a last minute weekend getaway for my wife and I. The host could not be more accommodating. She went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The studio was very clean and had everything needed to make our stay relaxing. We make this trip several times a year and we will check for this condo first.

Beach Getaway

The property was lovely. We enjoyed staying at Anchors Away so much. The place was clean and comfortable. The owners had everything we needed available to us in the room. Sunrise was visible from the balcony which was an exceptional bonus. The grasses over the dunes were such a pleasure to watch rippling in the wind with the beach just behind them. It was a terrific getaway for us and we look forward to staying there again.

Beautiful Place

I loved it. Lisa communicated very well and gave great instructions....they condo was clean and sanitary. Had everything you would need for a day at the beach. The area was quiet and perfect for just me get away and still not too far from everything. I would definitely stay there again.

The Short Beach Escape We Needed

We are from the DFW area and I had a conference in Houston from Wednesday-Friday. My husband and I decided to extend our southern stay by going to Galveston-one of our favorite places. I found this condo on VRBO and booked it since we have always enjoyed our previous stays at Islander East. The condo was clean and just what we wanted/needed. The owner was also very kind and accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Spring Break Getaway

We loved staying at Anchors Away! This was the first time visiting Galveston for a mother daughter spring break getaway. We loved how comfortable the condo was, it was the perfect size for two people. The bed was extremely comfortable, which is super important to us and the couch as well to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. But hands down our favorite thing about Anchors Away was the gorgeous ocean view from our balcony and being able to hear the ocean. Also, not having to purchase bottled water, toilet paper, paper towels, liquid dish soap, trash bags and having shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and liquid hand soap was amazing. All of these extras were provided and made packing easy!! We’ve stayed at many condos, and this is generally not the case so a definite A+! The building is very quiet, clean and the property offers lots of outdoor games for families and the heated pool was also fabulous. Beach access was super close and we felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Also, amazing that beach towels, two beach chairs, and an umbrella were also provided in the condo! My wife and I had a great weekend getaway here. The beach access and friendly staff were a welcome change of pace from past stays at other locations. Great view down the beach, very clean room and had all the amenities we needed. We’ll be back!
