This is Tree Frog Harbour House - a gem tucked away in the heart of Galveston. TEN MINUTES from everything in town; it is nestled between a private marina and wetland nature preserves. With three bedrooms, a spacious living room and dining room. Laguna de Oro - Golden Laguna - is truly one of Galveston’s best kept secrets. Enjoy nature and gorgeous sunsets while being conveniently located!
The backyard has a refreshing swimming pool and a spacious fishing deck over a beautiful neighborhood marina. The front yard overlooks a nature preserve where pelicans dive and flamingos wade through waters rich with shrimp and crabs. Watch the sunrise over the water on one side, and set over a golden lagoon on the other.
Large families will feel right at home in this spacious, two-story, three-bedroom home on the water. Whether you are wanting to visit local restaurants or to take advantage of Galveston's fabulous fishing opportunities, this home makes all these things available while still offering a bit of privacy from the bustling tourist population in town!
Fish from the large dock, enjoy the beautiful wetland marsh providing stunning sunset views and a perfect spot for bird watching. Bring a boat and tie up right at the dock. The Laguna is great for fishing. Cool off in the private pool overlooking the water. You can access the Strand area, East End or the Beach in less than 10 minutes by car.

Other things to note
You do have to climb stairs to get to the upper level where all the bedrooms are.
There are people who maintain the property that you might run into during your stay! The landscaping crew comes every week and pest services come regularly. The pool is serviced generally on Tuesday mornings.
We live adjacent to a nature preserve. It is great for bird and wildlife watching and unplugging from the hustle and bustle. We take every precaution to keep pests and animals off the property, but if the occasional bug venturing indoors, or the possibility of encountering raccoons, possums, or snakes in the neighborhood is unacceptable to you, Laguna D’Oro may not be the best vacation spot for you. Otherwise please come enjoy the small-town charm and beauty of Mother Nature, tucked next to these beautiful wetlands.
**For the safety of you and local wildlife, please make sure all trash is fully in trash receptacles and that they are fully closed.
POOL
Pool hours are 8am-9pm. This neighborhood has many working folks and retirees, so we ask that you respect and honor their neighborhood while you are visiting.
We love that the pool feels like an extension of nature. We have placed it right on the water and under a batch of beautiful bamboo that give you privacy while not loosing the natural beauty around you.
We do have the pool professionally serviced, but because of its proximity to nature, leaves, bugs and other natural things find their way into the pool regularly.

DOCK
We love our large brand new dock and know you will too. 18 ft x 30 ft is plenty of space for everyone to cast a line. This is our favorite spot to drink coffee in the morning while the sunrise bounces off the water. We do not generally use it for boating, but you are welcome to tie off if that suits you!
Please read and adhere to all Pool Rules before using. Additional rules - No parties or events allowed. - Please respect the noise curfew. Jamaica Beach is a vacation community with many families. Following city ordinances, a strict 10pm-7am quiet hours are enforced. - One dog allowed. Must be under 40 lbs. Dog must be house broken and crate trained. DOGS CANNOT BE LEFT ON PROPERTY ALONE, UNLESS PROPERLY CRATED. Please clean all pet waste. -We love our furry babies and to travel with them. However we have to keep our property safe for future guests as well, including those with animal allergies. For this purpose, we must charge an additional $100 cleaning fee for a hypo-allergenic cleaning if their are any animals brought onto the property. - No smoking allowed indoors. If you smoke outdoors please do so more than 10 ft from entrances. A $200 cleaning fee will be added if smoking of any substance is found indoors. - When coming in from the beach we ask that everyone rinses off in our private outdoor shower before showering indoors. Sand is very tough on the plumbing. Also, please rinse and allow any beach toys or equipment before replacing them in the house. - Please leave the heating or air system running even when you are out to help with moisture control. - Suitable for toddlers and children under 12. We have provided infant safe outlets, a safety gate on the balcony, and child locks under the sink cabinet. But please do check decorations and other items to raise anything not suitable to your age child. - No unregistered guests allowed. - Please don’t eat or drink in the bedrooms. - Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am. You will be assigned a unique entrance code to access the property. For all our guests' and cleaners' safety, these codes will only be activated five minutes before check in time and will stop working 5 minutes after check out time. - Please take care of the furnishings. You are responsible for any damages. - Please don’t rearrange the furniture. - Please rinse and place used dishes in the dish washer. - Please take the trash out before you leave. Do not put trash in the trashcan if the lid will not close. This will attract raccoons. If you have more trash than fits in receptacles, please contact us to help remove. Trash service is on Monday and Thursday. - No illegal substances allowed on the premises. - Do not grill under balcony.

My friend and I just wanted a quick get-a-way and hadn't been to Galveston for a while. It was close to good restaurants and Moody Gardens. So, we had a very pleasant visit.
My family and I enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed, and the kids enjoyed the pool. It was nice to be so close to the water but also not in the middle of all of the Galveston traffic. We would love to come back another time!
Everything we wanted and more in a vacation rental. We enjoyed fishing at the pier and swimming in the private pool. The property was centrally located for restaurants, shopping, and the beach. The property was just as described, and the owners responded promptly with any questions.
This location is great. No through traffic, easy access to anywhere in downtown via Harborside or 61st. We enjoyed the pool and fishing from the dock. If you bring a boat to Galveston this would be a great choice.. as it has a marina nearby and easy bay access
Property was well kept and comfortable. The Richey family stayed in contact and answered any questions promptly, great communication. We would stay there again.
Check in and communication are excellent and timely. Home is cozy but roomy. All the amenities as listed. Pool was really nice but the pier!!!! The pier was amazing for mornings and sunsets and all the family fishing in between.

My family and I had a great stay at the frog house. Plenty of room and everything was very clean and organized. We loved being right on the marina and my son and I caught several different types of fish (and blue crabs) right off the dock. The neighborhood was quiet and close to many of the island’s attractions.
LOVE this home. The pool & pier was a huge plus! Didn't catch anything but fun trying! Was able to use the pool everyday! Very peaceful & enjoyable.

Comfortable home with a pool. Just what we wanted. It is situated in a waterfront cove surrounded by beauty and birds! The pool looked fairly new and was perfect for lounging-deepest part was around five feet. Comfortable beds;well stocked kitchen;all the right amenities, even pool floats! Within a short distance to great restaurants, beaches and shopping.
Great place to stay close enough to get down seawall and 10min from the strand. Very quiet location and great dock to sit on with a cold drink. They Richey family where very accommodating and super responsive. I would highly recommend if you have a boat since it's in a quite canal. The small yard was great for our dog to do her business and everything is fenced in so it was a great property for a pet. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Decent place for large group
For a large rental the parking is inadequate. The rental was nice but needed better cleaning service as some areas like under beds and under furniture seat cushions needed attention. the Pool was great, and dock area was nice. overall we had a good time in Galveston with family.
We had a great time staying here for an end of summer family vacation. We had grandparents, two kids (9 and 13) and our pets with us! We really enjoyed the pool, fishing off the dock, and taking our inflatable kayaks out for a spin on the canal. When we needed a break from the sun we watched movies, played board games, and visited in the living room and at the table. It was also a plus having a short drive to Moody Gardens, the beach, and the Strand. Two thumbs up for very comfortable beds and a fun bunk bed in the kids’ room.The hosts are so helpful and quick to respond. We will be back!
So happy this beautiful property was available. Very surprised with such a busy galveston tourist time. This place is right on the water, bay side which i perfer. Keeps all the traffic and people away..felt like a private resort. House was super spacious and had everything you need to make the stay comfortable. Pool was just the perfect size and with a perfect view of the bay. Our family dog had a blast and was secure with the fenced in pool and backyard area. We will definitely be booking again!! It did not disappoint!!
We wanted to get away from our daily activities to have time to unwind and decompress from our high stress jobs and have a kid free/spouse free weekend.
We stopped at a local HEB (grocery store) 20 min from the house to stock up on food and beverages.
We enjoyed the beautiful TX fall weather with views from the dock and pool area, as well as the water reserve area located in front of the home.
The owners were attentive and easy to communicate with. There is an easy to follow guide binder in the living room that includes the history of Galveston, check out procedures, local places to dine, and more. They even have a quick QR code as you come up the stairs to the main living space for Wifi access.
The property is spacious and I look forward to bringing the family for a vacation getaway, as there is plenty of room for all of us.

Our stay at the Tree Frog was amazing and the property manager was beyond helpful and kind through our entire renting process. The backyard is a literal paradise that makes you feel like you’ve traveled to Bermuda. When you look up, you realize both only r you in the tropics but the beautiful wonderland of the serene canal with the fish jumping, hundreds of birds frolicking and airplanes and boats passing by gingerly. It’s just gorgeous. No complaints. The home fit 10 of us with no problem. The basement, where you enter is so spacious with a huge sofa set that 20 people could sleep down there (don’t do that though!! lol). As you proceed upstairs and look at the unbelievable view, you know you’ve picked the right place. Three bedrooms upstairs and 3 full bathrooms (one down and two up) is wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about h the e Richey’s and their lovely home. (Advice….beauty to read the notebook they’ve left, full of hints and tricks and history and fun). Thank you for a lovely stay.
