Blue Heron brand new to the market. The whole family will love this beachside home - Features 3 bedrooms/2 baths on the Main level,
an additional Ground level quarters (Sleeps 4) with 2 queen beds and full bath. Two exterior decks with beautiful views of the gulf;
Covered deck with picnic table, Charcoal BBQ Pit, Outdoor Shower and Refrigerator. Easy walk to the Beach! Open concept kitchen, dining, breakfast bar and living area with vaulted ceilings. Home is decorated and equipped with all that you need for your vacation. Keurig & Drip Coffee Maker, Blender, Toaster, Microwave, Wine Fridge and Washer & Dryer . Community Pool in Jamaica Beach is open Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Tuesday-Sunday 12-7. Daily Pool Pass can be purchased at pool.
Internet Access/Cable service provided, service can be unreliable on West Galveston Island. We apologize, but we cannot guarantee that these amenities will be working during your stay and are unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services.

Family Getaway
Our family of 11, 6 adults & 5 children, had a nice stay. Very close to the beach, a 3 minute walk. The beach had a lot of police presence which made us feel safe. Nice neighborhood & not too far from all the fun places & shops in Galveston & on The Strand.

Just needs some simple maintenance and repairs. Please address the back door stairs That’s just a accident waiting to happen. Great location plenty of space for my group of 12.

…. Because if it weren’t right on the beach, I’d probably have to take it down another star. First, the good stuff: The property management was lovely. They were great to deal with. And the location truly was perfect for going back and forth from the beach. Below is a list of complaints I sent to management: 1. There were live roaches crawling on the wall downstairs. 2. The Keurig is broken and can’t be used. 3. Hot and cold is backwards on the shower in master. 4. No sheets, no towels, nothing. I will say that the response was quick to fix it, but that really started our trip off terribly. The kids had quite the meltdown waiting for their beds to be made up so they could go to sleep. My father in law was really angry that he couldn’t go in his room, which caused a huge fight with all of us, and it was just a total mess. 4. The cabinets won’t stay closed - there seems to be some kind of problem with the leveling of the house. 5. The toilet is loose in the master; it needs caulking probably. 6. The single boogie board is broken. 7. We were warned to bring paper items, so we did, but having NO basic amenities - not even coffee filters - is just kind of shocking. We’ve never experienced that at another rental. 8. The handle on the pantry door is broken or something and it’s difficult to open. 9. The light fixture in one of the upstairs guest bedrooms didn’t work. The fan would turn on but not the light. 10. Some screws were sticking up through the stairs. Thankfully we didn’t step on them. 11. Some of the cushions outside are tattered and need replacing. 12. The shower controls in the hall bathroom were backwards or off. It was difficult to work. 13. There is no outlet in the hall bathroom. And the outlet in the master bathroom is in a very small space so you cannot plug a hair dryer into it. 14. One of the plugs in the second bedroom is broken. The upper outlet worked but not the lower one. 15. There was a disposable razor left in one of the bathrooms from a previous guest. Gross. 16. The pot and pan selection is not great. Some of these things are little, but my expectations are high I guess. Sadly, they were not met. Another thing future renters should be aware of is that you should not rent a golf cart if you’re staying here. You cannot get to the beach on a golf cart because the locals have the pathway chained off. Thanks to Rick’s for being honest before renting to us.

Amazing, Beautiful, Fun
We had our family vacation this year at the Blue Heron. 16 of us total && it was such a wonderful experience. Perfect beach spot, house was so beautiful and close to the ocean. And big enough for our group to enjoy each other and still have time alone. I wish one of the bedrooms had more shelves and storage space for luggage, we had to live out of our bag, but other than that there were no issues. Rental staff was amazing and gave us information when checking in and out. Although we did not see signs for rattlesnakes and shark notices, because they were further down the beach, the police and guards told us. It was kind of private and small crowds within the community and beach front. Loved waking up and being able to sit on the porch to watch the sunrise and change porches and watch the sunset. Nice breeze on the porch too! I had to many people ask where we stayed and how they wanted to book their next vacation there too.! It truly is a wonder beach getaway && an experience to take. Loved being away from the crowd but close enough to go tour Galveston. Cannot wait to check out another house next vacation we take!

Great property Quiet neighborhood...so close to the ocean. Close everything else needed...only thing I'd change is providing toilet paper and trash bags...other than that excellent stay!!!
