Lovely experience
This is a beautiful property. Communicating with the host was very easy. The only issues were with the full bath downstairs where the water from tub drained very slowly and 4 out of 5 trash cans were full when we got there. Still, we set all trash cans out for pick up on Monday when we left. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Time to be still and know that HE is God
Each year 10 of us friends/sisters in Christ put on a retreat for ourselves. All of us are involved in ministry at our different Catholic churches in Houston and Marfa. This is an annual retreat that all of us look forward to...And Jesus makes it happen. Our destination has always been Galveston because of the beach, seagulls and sunrises. Several of us require an elevator which this house offers. The house is in need of some repairs. We rented this same house last year and the hole in the living room wall is still there...We've always had problems with reception on TV... There is only one full bathroom upstairs which can be a problem with 10-12 people staying there.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Beach house was exactly what we expected. Walk to the beach was only a few steps. Could see the beach from the house. Owner was very quick to answer any questions we had and kept in communication with us as needed. We will definitely be staying here again.

Family togetherness
Very comfortable with the exception of the front bedroom mattress. We have been doing family time at the beach got 22 years. Staying here the last two years has been the best. As grand parents age , the elevator is a must.

A short stay in Galveston
The home was lovely, but the housekeeping needs attention. There is a refrigerator in the dining room that reeks of fish. I made the mistake of opening the refrigerator door and it was full of fish juice and was so foul smelling. The dishwasher was not clean and only one pod was available to use. Had I known, I could have brought dishwashing supplies. The house is gorgeous though. The host was lovely and talked to me, prior to the visit.

The House is Big and Beautiful!! We enjoyed the closeness of the Beach 😎 Two Refrigerators snd two Ovens made the Kitchen a Paradise!! Double Balcony made my morning coffee ☕️ a relaxing way to start my day. We all enjoyed the hot showers never ran out of hot water !! Great Location
We rented this property for Mother’s Day for family for my mother in law. The home is in a very quiet area and has great easy access to the beach. Even my MIL could get to the beach with her walker over the walkway. Marisol was very easy to work with and communication and response time was excellent. We had a few hiccups… the third floor ac was not working when we arrived, but it was corrected the next afternoon. The last night we were there it rained and leaked through the roof in the living room, just reported it upon leaving, the washing machine would not drain when we did a light load of clothes the last morning we were there, and the ice maker did not work… but not a big deal, we just bought several bags of ice and it was great to have the chest freezer. Loved the fact that there are two refrigerators, two ovens, and a chest freezer. Kitchen is well stocked. The elevator was the biggest attraction for us, without it mom could not have made the trip probably. Having the shower downstairs to rinse off prior to coming in is a plus as well. All in all… minor issues.. but we are looking at returning for Thanksgiving.

Very nice place. Roomy and quiet.
Needs a little help in some areas. Garbage disposal does not work, key box is difficult to get into, and several light bulbs were burned out (we replaced them). Overall, quite nice though..

We stayed with 9 adults , 2 teenagers and one 12 year old. We were able to fit comfortably in the house. The drive to most attractions is about 30 minutes. The walk to the beach is very close and easy! The view from the deck is wonderful ! Had a few hiccups with some appliances.

Dickens weekend -fabulous beach house!
2nd time at this wonderful beach house for Dickens weekend with family from CA, PA, TN and TX. It was also my 70th birthday. No better place, very well furnished with beautiful views of the beach and easy short walk to the beach! And the elevator is a great asset! Planning on it again next year!

Recommend you build a half bath on 3rd floor.
Beautiful home outside and inside, fully equipped. Loved the kitchen and living area. We had a group of 10 ladies on retreat. This house definitely needs another half bath upstairs because the one full bathroom was built within the walls of one bedroom and not centrally accessible to the second bedroom. Also Lock box for keys was very difficult to open

This property is fabulous. I would spend a weekend here every month if I could. The advertising was 100 percent correct, maybe even understated. Our entire family was pleased with every aspect of our stay. The neighborhood is nice and secluded and quiet, as well as the beach. The beach access is so simple and easy. The kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms are spotless and the beds were great and plentiful with space left over. And Marisol was easy to reach and a whole lot of help when I needed her. Highly recommend.

perfect family retreat
This is a large house making the living area, kitchen and dining area very comfortable. One great amenity was the 2nd small refrigerator in the dining room that we kept the drinks in so we didn't need to use the coolers. Kahala Dr. is a private street so there was traffic of cars or people. The walk to the beach was just across the street making it great for all of us. Unfortunately the room we slept in had 2 double beds that really needed to be replaced. The grill they have is not a gas grill but a charcoal grill. They had a lot of beach toys and chairs. This is a keeper and we hope to come back next year, but we hope they invest in 2 new double beds!

Beautiful and comfortable. Access to the beach was very good.
A couple of things did not work. (dish washer and downstairs bathroom. However, shower was nice downstairs.). Nice crossover for the beach. The elevator was very helpful for the two parents over 80, however, children do not need to use it. It really helped loading and unloading the vehicles. Upstairs bedroom is especially nice. The beds in the middle bedroom downstairs could be updated. and add a TV. Bunk bed room upstairs is especially nice. Lot of nice extras in the kitchen. and really nice TV in the open area.

The kitchen was one of the best equipped kitchens I’ve ever found in VRBO. Elevator was awesome for getting groceries and grandma upstairs! I would highly recommend.

Beautiful location, property is large but neglected
Great amount of space and beautiful location. House has been somewhat neglected. The cook top barely works and it took 2 hours to boil water. My elderly mil fell from sitting in the outside chairs which after the fall we realized were totally rusted. The bedroom with the bunk beds must have been attic space at some point and had little ventilation and the only bathroom on that floor is in the master which was kind of a nuisance.

Sunny weekend stay
Property is spacious, clean and well equipped. The decorations and fish knickknacks on the walls and shelves give the house a lot of character and the kids loved it. The beach is an easy walk, even with small kids, and the beach itself was very quiet. Some minor maintenance issues to address in the house but nothing that significantly impacts the experience.
