Escape to The Perky Pelican, a charming second-row beach house in the popular Sea Isle subdivision on Galveston’s West End. This fully renovated 3-bedroom, 2-bath retreat offers coastal comfort and sleeps up to 8 guests—perfect for couples or small families craving a laid-back island getaway.

Take in stunning Gulf views from the spacious open deck, complete with shaded pergola seating and plenty of room to lounge, dine, or simply enjoy the sound of the surf. Just steps from the sand, this beach retreat makes it easy to start your mornings with a shoreline stroll or unwind to the rhythm of the waves at sunset.

Inside, the home’s airy open-concept layout features coastal-inspired décor, intricate whitewashed woodwork, and a unique fish scale tile design in the kitchen, creating a bright, tropical vibe throughout. The living room includes a sleeper sofa, TV, and DVD player, while the dining area and island offer plenty of seating for meals and game nights.

The primary bedroom includes a king bed, TV, en-suite bathroom, and deck access. A second bedroom with twin bunk beds and a third with a queen bed and TV also offer deck access and share a full hallway bath. A washer/dryer is conveniently located in the ground-level storage area, along with an outdoor shower and built-in picnic seating.

Great Getaway

House was very nice and close to the beach. We had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our time in Galveston. We enjoyed the private beach area had so much fun! We loved the morning sunrises and evening sun downs on the ocean.

This place has all you need and it’s a perfect beach spot. We loved walking on the beach, seeing the sunset, and listening to the waves. Very comfortable and quiet area. Beach was basically private. I’d ABSOLUTELY stay again!

We were really satisfied with this rental. Great beach access and wonder views of the beach right from the porch. We had no issues at all. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook from the house all week. The living room was cozy and we loved the views.

Perfect getaway for our family!

The location of this property is excellent! It was clean and well equipped. It's right on the beach so it made venturing out each day super easy. The beach was never crowded, which made it even more enjoyable. The house was just as beautiful as the pictures! We will definitely be booking here again and likely bringing family to stay in a neighboring house.

Steps from the beach!

Had an excellent family vacation here. This house is about 40 steps from the beach. The beach area is secluded from the public. The house was well maintained and seemed to be recently rennovated. Communication with the property managers was great and most of their processes were automated. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay at The Perky Pelican.. Could hear the ocean sitting in the house. Neat decor and very clean!!! Walking distance to ocean. We will come again!!! the only thing is sliding screen door needs fixed, it kept coming off the track.

Overall great time

This house was conveniently located on the beach and allowed us to come back and forth to the beach easily with kids. The rooms are what is advertised. We had planned to have an air mattress for kids on the floor and none of the rooms (other than common area) were large enough for an air mattress. We left like we lost days with such a late check in and early checkout. The beach was pretty private. That was nice.

First time in Galveston

The Perky Pelican is exactly as advertised. It is the most adorable little beach house, and it is quite possibly the cleanest of any property we’ve vacationed at. We had absolutely everything we needed for a week at the beach with 2 kids. The kitchen has everything needed and then some. There are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards for spending the day on the beach, which is only steps away. We loved the location which is very quiet but not too far from anything you might need. If we go back to Galveston we will absolutely stay at the Perky Pelican again.

Wonderfully secluded gem

This was such a cute place and an almost private beach area. Our walk to the water was very close, just one house away from beach front and in a quiet, beautiful area. The house is so nice!! It has a fully stocked kitchen. you’ will definitely need to bring is towels. They supplied very basic tiny hotel white bath towels , only 4, so you’ll want more bath towels and beach towels. There are a few beach chairs in the storage but you’ll probably want your own. Overall we weee very happy and satisfied with the quality of this house and location. If you like more secluded beaches with much less people then this is the place for you.

Pictures don’t do this place justice

This property is beautiful. It’s hard to truly see it in the pictures. Spacious living space with three private bedrooms. The air conditioner worked great I was worried with it being so hot but we were cold at night. Kitchen has all the pots and pans you will need, with plenty plates and cups. Now let’s get to the beach. Few steps from the house very easy to get to. It’s private and gorgeous. This property provides chairs and umbrellas which is a nice touch. We basically had the beach to ourselves. For the money this property is a steal. We definitely will be back. Side note, bring your own spices if you plan on cooking. My family and I are still blown away with this place. It’s in our top 5.

Perfect beach house

Had a family “weekend”…. 6 of us all in the house. Perfectly situated for beach fun and other adventures. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen to cook lots of family meals too!

Wonderful property and location!

We loved the property and location and quick access to the beach! This was a great experience staying in Sea Isle the first time and would go back in a heartbeat! It’s been so hot in Texas this was a great little break from the heat with the ocean breezes and summer storms. House is very cozy and clean, beds we’re comfortable and the storage for beach gear was great!

The house was great and the location was super close to the beach. 2 min walk and you had toes in the sand. We would absolutely book this house again. Gary Greene kept us updated on everything prior to and the day of arrival .

Beach Birthday with best friends

We spent a long weekend at the Perky Pelican with our best friends to celebrate my husbands birthday! This house was better than we could have hoped for! Amazing location, just a few steps from the sand! Beautiful balcony to relax on in the ocean breeze. Comfortable and clean bedrooms and bathrooms! Absolutely perfect vacation beach home and we can’t wait to plan our next trip!
