About this space Welcome to this Beach Condo on TOP FLOOR with AWESOME views. Completely remodeled & centrally located. Walking distance to so much and super easy beach access right in front of the condo complex! barbecue area and laundry facilities onsite and beautiful award-winning grounds at the complex. The moment you walk in the door of this condo you will see the beach!! !, free SUPER FAST WiFi, brand new Sterns and Foster Mattress, Close to Cruise. The space Voted "Best Condominium Rental 2021" Casa Del Mar has won the award from the Best of Galveston and Clean Galveston. Our condo comfortably sleeps 6 (4 adults, 2 kids recommended). With a queen in the bedroom with a recent Sterns and Foster Mattress, queen sleeper sofa (added memory foam topper- very comfortable!!) and 1 small junior bunk bed in the hallway. This Condo is on the top floor, so the views are phenomenal along with a lovely ocean breeze. A private balcony with a beautiful ocean view to enjoy.
The bathroom is accessible through the hallway and the bedroom.
Our objective is to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible by providing surprising amenities (Blender, Keurig K-Cup Machine, 4K Ultra-HD TV's, Bamboo pillows, board games, stocked spice rack, and kitchen utensil)
It also has keypad entry (no need to worry about keys!!).
It is centrally located right on the Seawall and short walk to the beach. A Shuttle just outside the Condo takes you to Downtown Galveston and nearby restaurants. Only a short drive to Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Pleasure Pier and The Strand historic district. We do not have parking for Trailers.
This condo has been completely remodeled and is extremely clean and well cared for. It is the perfect spot for an island getaway.
We have a very fast AT&T Gigabit Fiber Internet for use.
PS: For Cruise Ships guests my place is only 4.5 miles from the port, around 8 miles and $12~$14 to Uber.
The Casa Del Mar complex also houses TWO swimming pools, a cool spa and a BBQ area. Washers and Dryers are located on the 1st and 3rd floors (coin machines). Guest access Entire Condo and facilities within the complex- we have two tropical pools (one seasonally heated), a trellised Bar-B-Que area, laundry facilities and Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all suites and throughout the property Other things to note NOTE: This is a No Pet facility.
From November 1st, 2022 a Resort Fees of $40 for your entire stay (Credit/Debit Card) payable at the front desk is required at Casa Del Mar. (Paid upon check-in and valid for your entire stay) This will include your Parking Passes, pool access, Complimentary Wi-Fi and unassigned parking for two cars in the communal parking garage.
Additional street parking is permitted but can be very costly at Pay Per Hour.

Hidden Parking Fee
The place was decent enough, it was clean and well taken care of. However, the communication was lacking, I had to reach out the day before our arrival to get arrival instructions and was told instead I would get it the morning of which made me a bit nervous. Host did provide the instructions along with a nice surprise of a 40 parking fee (for one night) that needed to be paid to the front office. Had I known this I would have booked somewhere else as this became way overpriced for one night for what it was.
Great location facing the beach. We walked to the grocery store and restaurants. We could see the cruise ships from the bedroom window and the beach from the balcony. The lobby let us store luggage which was nice!
Enjoyed our stay at the Casa del Mar. We stayed in the off season so it wasn’t crowded or noisy which is sometimes the case during peak times. Room was clean with all essentials including a Keurig (nice surprise!), utensils, dishwater and cookware. Really appreciated the seamless check-in process and the host was friendly and communicative. Would definitely book again!
Everything was in the perfect location, Hal answered all my questions leading up to the stay. The stay was amazing.

The furniture is very worn and musty smelling. Beach chairs were rusty also.Never was able to get the television to work after sending two messages asking for assistance. The area was very centrally located and check in with the main office was exceptional. Pool was very nice.

Condo is located at the back of the community. Noticeable smell of dog pee when you enter. The condo was not clean. The sofa sleeper is a weird size/configuration. My 5’4 friend has to sleep sideways. Refrigerator looked liked it been beat in a street fight. Rusted out chairs and cart on the balcony. Only real positives were the condo location directly across from bakers beach and the queen bed was comfortable.
The condo was nasty and hadnt been cleaned. Beds unmade, dirty linens everywhere, commode nasty. Owner had to send someone to clean it and we had to wait 2hrs outside while she cleaned.
Never got check in and we missed the whole reason we came on the trip
We never got check instructions. We had medications we almost lost because we couldn’t get in the room. Host never responded and still took our money. We didn’t get into a room until hours later and even then they didn’t have a fridge which we brought food we had to throw out and pay to eat out.
Arrived at the condo around 8:30pm after a 5 hour drive from Dallas. Rental was horrible. Every bed in the unit looked like the people before us had jumped out of them and got out as fast as they could. covers for the sofa bed were thrown on the chair. the sofa bed was not completly a whole bed half of it was a big hole, so we couldn't even let it out. To top it off we had to get another room for the night, because it hadn't been cleaned or sanitized. the owner expected us to wait on it to be cleaned. no mentioned of refund for the 1st night at all. we moved in the next day and still had to clean the sand out of the shower, wipe and disinfect. the cart and items for the beach were extremely nasty so we went to the pool shower to clean it just to take it to the beach. I am a travel agent I would have died if this had happened to one of my clients! Beware of this rental. sad, sad, sad!

Check in was easy, property grounds were clean and well kept.. However the unit is VERY outdated and musky.. The flooring in chipped and coming up in many places, food splattered on the wall below the TV, never got the TV to work, the couch is dirty and VERY worn, the shower flooring has a slimy gel thing over the bottle of the shower (I was scared to see why).. The refrigerator has dents and huge scratches on the front of it.. The balcony was nasty and had dirt and filth everywhere, the sink even had dirty tissue paper in it that was wet.. I wish I could give a good review, Hal was very nice and answered questions and also checked on us, but it was by far below my expectations.. We left a day early because of how uncomfortable I was.. I did reach out to him about the condition of the unit, he said he would come down to investigate it and he did apologize.. But it literally ruined our vacation.. When you spent hundreds of dollars you expect better than this.. Would not recommend until it’s renovated..
The unit was very clean and as described! Our only issue was with the front office staff! I went to check in/pay the parking fee (which is EXTREMELY high!!! $40 and the parking lot is pretty much empty). Trying to get everything from the car to the unit and got a call from the front office that my card was declined for the parking. I had to go back down and guess what!! Not my caRd at all but - as they told me - a bad “reader on their machine that “has been giving them trouble”!! All the inconvenience for me when they KNEW they were having an isssue with that one machine!!! Front office personnel were horrible!!
Received email welcoming us but no instructions on entry. Tried to contac host via email and phone several times no answer. Had to call Vrbo they tried both as well and no reply. Had to get other accommodation @ last min w/ 97 percent filled so not very good choices but becuz host dropped the ball we had no other options. Host contacted in the late evening finally after too late. They should fine these people that don’t do good business when dealing w/public service of this kind.
