Long Time No Sea is centrally located in a beautiful spot in Galveston TX 4 minutes away from the beach, with outstanding views of the bay. Enjoy the sounds of a summer night and the seagulls in the morning. This home is located just blocks away from a popular coffee shop, brewery, moody gardens golf course, theatre, fishing pier and grille! Moody gardens is a short 4 min drive away. Perfect to accommodate traveling for competitions, conferences or events in the area as well as vacation . We love our cozy cottage with all the amenities of home.

The space
Long Time No Sea is a newly renovated paradise for family and friends. Walk out on the front deck to enjoy your cup of coffee or dinner overlooking the bay. Centrally located making it easy to get around town and enjoy everything Galveston has to offer.

The homes open design allows for a comfortable setting with views. The kitchen is fully equipped to have a relaxing dinner at home or at one of the award winning seafood restaurants on the island. The main room has a king bed with a 54”Smart TV, Alexa and phone chargers. The second room has a bunk bed with full on bottom and twin on top - with easy access stairs to help aide safety. Noise machine and oscillating fan allows for a comfortable sleep.

Newly added third bedroom suite sits downstairs with a private 1/2 bathroom and queen bed. The suite DOES NOT have access from Main house. It is separated, you access it from outside. It sits on ground floor of home. There is a separate keypad on the door for the bedroom that automatically locks when you leave.

The home backs up to a nature reserve that boast the best sunset on the island. You can take a stroll down the street to put in your kayak for fishing in west bay or bring your golf clubs to enjoy a nice round at Moody Gardens. If you are looking to hang out and enjoy all the amenities of the island we are minutes away from the following; beach, mini golf, cinema, bait shops, surf fishing pier, Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, Buffalo Grille, Evia green space for kids, playground, Galveston convention center and Sugar Bean coffee shop. On the weekends Evia has pop up shops that boast the best boutiques around town.

The home includes wifi access, charging stations for cell phones. Each room has blinds and black out shades to allow for a good nights sleep. The newly renovated bathroom has a waterfall shower with toiletries provided. The addition of a downstairs shower with hot/cold water allows for easy clean off when coming back from the beach.

During your stay you will be provided - initial linens, bathing towels, washer and dryer, kitchen refrigerator, Kuerig, starter supply of paper products, dishwasher, cooking essentials and serve ware, k-cups for coffee.

Surveillance Cameras - there is one camera at the front of the house looking over drive way which will remain on for security purposes. Security camera on the deck will be turned off once arrived.

Perfect location for our golf tournament at Moody. The house was clean and communication before and during our stay was excellent! They accommodated a noon check out even for the ladies waiting on the tournament to end! The sitting area was nice downstairs for morning coffee and was a quiet area with not much traffic. We look forward booking again in the future.

Amazing Accommodations & Host !

If you want a clean , quiet, and restful place to stay and enjoy family and relax , look no further , this home is great . Our host was absolutely amazing and the little extras like bikes and boogie boards was a great surprise.

Fishing Trip

We rented this house for a weekend fishing trip with 3 people. The house was in a good location and easy access to marina for our daily guide trips on the water. House was clean and communication with host was great.

Quiet family get away

House was exactly as listed. Check-in was extremely easy and finding the location was spot on. The house was about 10-15 mins from everything needed. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the yard was large enough for our furry family member. Being able to bring him with the family made the stay even better.

fantastic home

The home was beautifully decorated, clean, had everything you need including a highchair, has a nice neighborhood down the street with a coffee shop, grill, 5 minutes to Moody Gardens and close to the seawall. The home owners were informative and quick to answer all my questions. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable stay

Wow!

The pride the owners have for their place is very evident. Quite possibly the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. Not even a cobweb! Owners were quick to respond even when we had a question on Christmas Day for them. In a very quiet area and we felt very safe staying there. Would definitely stay there again. Very convenient to Moody Gardens where most of our activities were.

The property and the hosts were so exceptional last time we stayed here that we chose to stay at this property again and we are just as happy with our 2nd stay. The property was very clean and well maintained. The hosts respond quickly, are helpful and are very kind. The location is great also. Lil' Buffalo Grill (located in Evia, just down the road) has really great breakfast. We ate there and then grabbed coffees and smoothies at Sugar Bean next door before we headed out for a day of fun. Everything was wonderful!

Great stay! Great location!

My family and I really enjoyed our weekend stay. The cottage and grounds exceeded our expectations. When I say this place is clean, I mean extremely clean and very well maintained. The hosts are exceptional. They were very helpful, kind and responded to all my messages quickly. We have traveled to Galveston many times and we have booked at many different places and this one has set the bar as one of our favorite places we have ever stayed. I definitely recommend staying at this location. I hope we get the opportunity to stay there again. Everything was outstanding!

Bay Views Cottage was perfect. If cleanliness and child/dog friendly is important to you, then this is your place. Very kid/fur baby friendly - with gates to protect them from falling down the stairs or wondering off. The bikes and beach items were great to use and fun for the whole family. The location is great. There is a cute shopping, coffee shop area we really enjoyed. Beach house smelled amazing, and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the games and the downstairs area. The Elrod family was quick to respond and very nice to work with. Thank you for a great weekend.

Perfect family trip

We traveled with our twin 4.5 year olds and our 1.5 year old and we absolutely enjoyed our stay here!! You can tell the owners have put a ton of thought and care into the property, from the puzzles and toys inside, to the bikes and kids’ ride on toys outside!! This was the perfect spot for our little family beach vacay! Our youngest was obsessed with the little pink ride-on car and scooters. My husband and I really enjoyed sitting outside with a cold beverage on the porch and at the downstairs bar area in the evenings once the kids were asleep too! Everything was super clean and fresh! The nearby coffee shop in the Evia community was a favorite of mine as well! Would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return for another stay some time!!

Home away from home

My wife was so impressed by your house. She said she could really tell the owners were peole who took pride in their product, provided a quality stay with wonderful amentities and even went above and beyond providing toys inside the house, a pack & play, a first-aide kit, an emergency phone number left on the fridge, and not "just any old" dinnerware and utensils. The place was clean, inviting, and comfortable. The patio furniture was nice and good quality and the outdoor bikes/beach toys and all the little extras just really left an impact and wonderful added touch to help minimize our travel needs and make it even more fun for our children while we were there. Thank you for making the trip feel more "like an extended stay" instead of a nickle and dime VRBO. She noticed and appreciated the extra work and effort you put into making stays more enjoyable really thinking about the guests ensuring family fun was comfortable, relaxing and cherished memories by all! The surrounding neighborhood was also really nice! We met the neighbors, took our golf cart we towed with us and zipped around enjoying the sunsets.

Wonderful Family Friendly Property

My family absolutely LOVED our weekend at Long Time No Sea! There was something for everyone, my husband and I stayed here with our 16 year old, 13 year old and 8 month old along with my best friend. The kids were SO excited about all of the fun things in the garage, they really enjoyed evening bike rides down to the end of the road and liked watching the sunset over the water. The fact that there was a high chair and pack and play already at the house made packing so much easier for us, as well as all of the items for the beach meant less for us to bring from home as well! My best friend stayed in the downstairs bedroom and enjoyed having her own space. We really enjoyed breakfast at Lil Buffalo Grill and greatly appreciated the advice from The Elrods on beach locations, they were amazing hosts and promptly responded to all of our questions! The beds were comfortable, the kids really liked the fact that there were plush blankets for them to use. We also all really enjoyed hanging out on the porch in the evenings, there was a wonderful view and the breeze made it that much nicer. We made a lot of great memories and won’t hesitate to book with them again!

Our family stayed for a beach vacation and this home was the perfect spot for us. The home itself was clean and had everything we needed, including items for the beach which was very convenient. A core memory for sure!

This home was so clean!! So well thought out. So prepared for children and families alike. The layout is beautiful, every thing was in pristine condition, the AC worked wonders and the shed full of beach toys made our stay amazing! We flew in from Seattle to visit family and I will absolutely be back, and will book with them again in the future.10 out of 10 recommend!

Lovely property away from the crazy!

A lovely property, with quick access to all of the Galveston favorites, but away from all of the craziness at the Seawall! A hidden gem- our family is older but all ages will do well here. We will be back!
