Top Galveston Hotel Reviews
TRU BY Hilton Galveston
"Considering the hotel had a computer Blackout when we arrived and had to wait a few hours to check in this was a great hotel. Once we where able to get into a room, I have to admit it wasn't what I.felt like I paid for. I paid extra for a corner room with a ocean view, but we recieved a balcony room facing the pool and lobby. To be fair you could see the ocean and our grandkids loved the view so I didn't complain. I also considered the issues they were having. Location was PER-FECT. You had Papa's pizza right next door. You could literally walk to everything and everything was close. We enjoyed the bar, the pool and the Free breakfast, which didn't offer many choices but again we had our grandkids and they didn't find anything wrong...so there's that. I would definitely stay here again."
Harbor House Hotel and Marina at Pier 21
"Close to cruise port and food was amazing nearby. Clean and friendly"
Grand Galvez Resort, Autograph Collection
"Our room was underwhelming in the fact of location right next to housekeeping room. Constant banging of the door starting very early in the am. And every time the air conditioning would turn on a loud thunk noise came with it. Other than that room was clean. The pool was nice, could use a little more cleaning. This was a splurge stay so a little more attention poolside would have been nice but it was nice to just swim up and service was immediate then. We didn't use the bar as we didn't feel welcome since we only had beach clothes and signs say you need collared shirts and evening attire. It didn't look as if they were turning people away but the signs were just off putting. We only ate poolside and food was good but asked for fruit and got chips and didn't send it back but a little more attention there would be good. And was nice to not have to pay the 40 to park or have to wait for someone to get the car for us as there is near parking free of charge. The espresso bar was good and reasonably priced for early caffeine. We only sat at the beach the day there was no service but the chairs are still there with no cushions or umbrellas so we were okay with that since we still didn't have to lay directly on the hot sand. And the 25/day resort fee..sneaky cause i don't see that anywhere listed in advance and was told about it at checkin, only the 100/day hold that would be refunded which i think is also excessive, but that may be normal at higher end hotels."
