"It was my second time staying there and it has maintained its customer service at a high level. This is the best place to stay in Belize City. One of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at anywhere. Staff were great and very attentive. Treehouse was a nice place to eat but I’d recommend maybe add a special item every day only because it’s the same menu for all 3 meals everyday. Food tastes great just need variety from day to day. I will be returning to this hotel on my next visit and can’t wait to stay in there new rooms and building. Thank you Fort George for a relaxing and welcoming stay."

"The setting in the mountains is beautiful, and the place has a fun, rustic atmosphere. However, there were several disappointments during our stay. The listing advertises air conditioning, but it’s important to understand that the rooms are screened in, so the AC does not cool the entire room. You can only really feel it when you’re lying in bed with the curtains closed. Also, the air blows directly onto your face, and there’s no way to adjust the airflow. I actually had to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed to avoid having the air blow directly on me all night. On a positive note, the staff was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. They were definitely a highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, the drinks weren’t very good, and the food was absolutely terrible. If you decide to stay here, I strongly recommend making other plans for meals rather than relying on the on-site restaurant. Overall, it’s a fun, rustic place with a beautiful mountain setting and wonderful staff, but be prepared for a very basic experience and plan to eat elsewhere."

"We enjoyed our stay. No internet or TV in the cabins which we enjoyed tremendously. The howler Monkeys in the distance reminded us of jurassic park, small animals with loud voices, we didn't actually see them. Nice moderately strenuous hike in the rainforest on property and a nice inner tube float in the creek to cool off. Food and service was good"
