"Great host and location in a renovated historic house. Felt safe walking to the nearby restaurant even after dark. The water taxi terminal was nearby as well. Cocktail hour is on Friday and Saturday so don't miss that if you're there. Breakfast was great. Would stay there again."

"We loved staying here! It’s secluded, intimate, and just picture-perfect. Abner was a great host and responded to small hiccups we experienced throughout the stay. There’s no light pollution so the stars shine bright and the howler monkeys made their presence known at night. The view in the morning is something to write home about. "I booked thru this site on November 15th for Barana hotel and when I got there I was told that I was the 3rd person that day that showed up with our reservation and there was no reservation booked with the hotel. The hotel has no information of the booking. He then asked me to pay him directly for a room that night. He also mentioned that the hotel do not have any business with hotels.com. I would like my 81$ back please and thank you. "

"The Lodge is beautiful in the middle of a lush jungle area. The rooms are very cozy and the whole structure is perfectly integrated in the environment. Excellent food and most importantly the kindness of all the stuff. Worth staying several days"
