"We had a wonderful stay! The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They have a communal lounge area where you can hang out and grab a drink, patio tables outside, and a restaurant that on its own is worth the visit. The breakfast was amazing and very filling. THE OLD WALLS Studio apartment

10/10 Excellent

"You cannot beat the location; about 10 minutes easy walk from the railway station and five minutes to the main square, restaurants and supermarket. Check in is completely remote. The codes, along with exploratory photos, for the street level door and front door will be sent to you the day before. The property is easy to find, once you notice the number of the building in one of the photos. Perhaps that’s something Expedia could look at adding in the confirmation information. The main thing to remember is, it is a studio. One room, with well stocked kitchenette, and a four seat table and chairs. There is no comfortable easy chair to slump in after a hard day touristing. The bathroom is large and towels and toiletries provided. Communication with the owner was easy and always responded to immediately. We’d love to return to Lecco - it’s a fabulous little city, surrounded by such beauty. If we do, we will definitely stay at this property."

"Initially tricky to get in as I usually book hotels rather than serviced apartments, my error by not reading the message sent to me, but once I read the message it took 10 mins to arrange to meet. I also needed 3 euro for the daily tax which I don’t normally carry cash. With that said , the apartment was amazing, much better than normal hotel rooms, bathroom was amazing, breakfast provided, and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommend and would use if in the area as very local to train station and ferry station."

"I had trouble with the links that were sent to me, so I did not have good information or instructions on where the condo was or how to get in. There was a lady that didn’t speak any English bring me a key and it was for the entrance door to the building and to the room. I was not able to open the link provided with the check out instructions, but there is a mail box in the entry way to the building and I left the key there. The room was nice, had black out shades for the room. The condo was in a convenient location. Close to the train station, shops and restaurants. The town is very nice and not as crowded as others."

"The residence is around 25–30 minutes above Lecco and offers stunning scenery, peaceful surroundings, friendly staff, and a freshly cooked breakfast made to order. The online reviews are accurate, and both the hotel and previous guests strongly recommend travelling by car, as taxis can cost €35–45 each way and many firms are reluctant to travel up to the property. Returning after a day exploring the area and watching the sunset from high above was truly relaxing. One thing to note is that the hotel does not serve dinner, and there are no nearby restaurants, so it is important to eat before returning in the evening. During our stay, which was shortened from two nights to one due to other commitments, we unfortunately discovered a large number of ants riddled all over the bathroom and living area of our room late at night after returning from a long day out. The owner did what they could by arranging for housekeeping to vacuum them up, but it appeared to be an issue that had happened before, likely coming through cracks between the bathroom tiles and walls. While we understand the property is located on a farm, we did not expect ants inside the bedroom. Despite this unfortunate experience, the property is lovely overall, and I would stay again — next time for longer to enjoy more of the surroundings and the hotel itself."
