Situated perfectly in a quiet neighborhood, The Desert Moon is a short hike or ride away from the majestic Colorado National Monument, rafting the Colorado River, biking on the Kokopelli trail, hiking the McInnis Canyons, skiing at PowderHorn, or the many shops, restaurants, wineries and breweries of downtown Fruita, Grand Junction and Palisade. Plug your electric vehicle into the Phase II 50 amp Chargeport EV Charging Station in the heated, 3-car garage featuring bike racks and bicycle repair station. Step inside to your private oasis and find a fully equipped Chef's Kitchen with coffee and cocktail stations. Relax and read on the mid-century lounger next to the gas fireplace or recline back and take in a movie on the 65" smart tv with Bluetooth sound system. Challenge your partner to a game of shuffleboard under the neon lit moon. Step outside and take in the fresh air on the expansive patio and cook an epic bbq meal on the 4 burner Weber grill. Enjoy the covered, outdoor dining area, equipped with ceiling fan and roll-down shades with lounge area and propane fire pit. Explore the nightscape as the glittering array of stars and moon bounce off the Colorado National Monument with the in-house telescope.   • We got here at sunset and this girl was far braver than I would have been. The drop was enormous. Colorado National Monument is somwhere I can't recommend highly enough, but allow enough time for all the overlooks, it is larger than it looks. We did 3 hours that evening and another 3 hours the next morning and only scratched the surface.

This property is immaculate. Very comfortable stay and close to a lot of fun things to do in the area. Kitchen amenities were great, made it easy to cook. Communication with the owners was very easy and they were very responsive. Would rent again.

Property was perfect for our visit to the GJ area to house hunt and meet up with Colorado relatives. Owners have done a great job of having every little necessitiy available. TV in every bedroom was a plus.

Great Fruita getaway

This is a great property. The location is in a nice neighborhood but close to downtown Fruita and all the western slope trails. This is one of the nicest houses that I have rented during any of my trips. We definitely would recommend this rental.

Our stay at The Desert Moon was absolutely wonderful! We stayed for my daughter's graduation from Mesa.The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The Kitchen is well stocked, the beds are very comfortable, the patio is so relaxing, and it is a very quiet neighborhood. The host was accommodating, responsive, and truly made sure our experience was seamless. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay—highly recommend and would definitely return!

Relaxing Fun

Very well equipped kitchen, lots of linens, relaxing deck (quiet upscale neighborhood, but it is a neighborhood). The deck is the only second living space. We enjoyed the race activities of the weekend, Colorado National Monument, and the sweet downtown of Fruita. What a beautiful area to visit!

Beautiful, comfortable home

We were in Fruita for a family Christmas and this was the perfect place for extra guests my daughter didn’t have room for in her home there. It had all the amenities we needed, was in a quiet neighborhood, and such a beautiful home we felt very comfortable coming “home” to each evening.

Guy's mountain bike trip

Great place to stay for guy's trip. Super clean, like new furniture, great patio and BBQ area, kitchen stocked with basic cooking items, garage w/ bike rack and maintenance stand. We'll be back next year.

Relaxing

We were in the area for a baseball tournament. This home was beautiful and so spacious and open. The perfect place to relax. Loved having use of the large garage so we were able to park inside, giving us the option of not having to unload and reload baseball equipment everyday. The hosts were great at communicating and made things very easy! 10/10 recommend!

It exceeded our expectations. The home was so beautiful, clean, and quiet. We can tell the owner put a lot of love and time into taking care of the property. They were so thoughtful in every detail throughout the house. We were there to ride in a bike ride event. We had a really great rest both before and after the ride. The owner even let us in early just right before the hail storm so that was very helpful and kind. Chad's communication was excellent. Thank you so much! We loved every minute of it!

Very Comfortable

This home is in a great location, the beds are comfortable, all the necessary goodies are provided for cooking a meal here, and I really enjoyed the lunar motif. Leaving directly from this house, it is easy to get in a good cycling tour of the area, both out on farm roads and cruising around town and the neighborhoods. Also, McInnis Canyons Nat’l Conservation Area was a great hiking spot. We would stay here again!

Fantastic!

This was the cleanest vacation rental I have ever stayed at-I am very picky! The entire property is beautiful and the owners have given careful consideration to every detail. As a former general manager of a vacation resort in Colorado, I can assure you this property is wonderful and managed properly. The neighborhood is quick and safe. Will definitely be back.

Great Place To Relax

As I am an OTR Truck Driver. This was a nice place to just relax and chill. The location is not to far from stores or amusement parks. We were able to spend quality time as a family together here. This home makes me want to buy a house and set it up just like the host set it up. Thank you for letting us use your home. Hopefully we can use it again!
