RIVERDALE RESORT

RIVERDALE RESORT

10/10 Excellent
"Despite other reviews I read, my room on upstairs floor was updated and very clean. Tv needs to be re connected to wifi with each arrival. Waterfront access pet friendly and great sunsets. Bed and sheets super comfortable and clean. Enjoy the views from the room too. I guess one downfall is no breakfast on site but you have access to bbq outside and fridge and microwave. Very close to provincial parks and hwy 69. Will stay again"

Timber Frame Log Cottage, across from the French River, great for big families

Timber Frame Log Cottage, across from the French River, great for big families

8/10 Good
"A truly unique heritage experience at Timber Pines. Detailed finishing, new construction --2023. Felt like a luxury resort. Well equiped kitchen with large commercial scale appliances. Great BBQ. We did not use the fireplace or sauna on the large deck.....hot week. Comfortable for our group of 8 seniors, but perhaps a better set up for a family with children because two of the "bedrooms" are actually not fully enclosed for privacy. Prompt text communication with our host, Tom, when we had questions abouit things like operating the air conditioner (controller was on a timber post that was some distance from the unit, so we did not notice that initially until Tom directed us via text). We never did find the switch for the overhead fan for the stove based on the instruction document at the cottage....not a big concern, just our nervousness, not being familiar with propane gas stoves. The internet, which is via Starlink satelite, functioned wel, but bogged down on our last day. Tom advised via text that this happens from time to time in the countryside of this French River location. We could not access TSN which was showing FIFA games.....accessible only if one of us might have subscription to apps like Prime, etc........we did not, unfortunately, so we follwed via updates on FIFA website. Fair to say that we would book this property again when visiting French River where our family from Sudbury have spent happy summers the past 35 years."
