"This hotel is well located and is a great bargain for DC. The room was clean and comfortable. I was traveling solo so there was just enough room for me. I do wish there had been a coffee pot in the room. My biggest complaint is about the staff. They were not friendly and made no effort to be engaging. The only exception was the young man who worked the front desk in the morning. Someone needs to remind these people that they work in the hospitality industry and that occasional small talk goes a long way. Questions were answered in monosyllables and smiles were rare. "

"Breakfast was overpriced and of poor quality, the bread, bagels, croissants, and cereal were stale, and the oatmeal was overly dry and inedible. The bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, several outlets were not functioning properly, the sink tap was broken, and the tub showed visible rust. In the room, the chair’s leather was worn and peeling, and the carpets were old, dingy, and not vacuumed during our stay. Even the beds were not consistently made to standard. Dinner at the restaurant was also disappointing; a $18 salad consisted primarily of lettuce, with minimal toppings. While that meal was refunded, the overall experience remained unsatisfactory. We were offered a room change, but declined given we had only one night remaining. Additionally, a manager indicated that one night of our stay would be comped; however, I have not yet seen that adjustment reflected. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its convenient proximity to museums and major historic attractions."

"The staff was nice though not clear on the process for parking amenity I was offered via email. In the end I did not receive the discounted price. Also there is a $35 fee tacked on that you apparently agree to (must be some tiny hidden wording) when booking. You can use $10 of it toward food however, when we tried to use it for breakfast they said no because we were checking out later that day. You have to use it the first day if you’re only there one night. That didn’t seem right. Otherwise we loved the room and the vibe at the hotel. *note there is no mini fridge or coffee pots in room so don’t bring back leftovers "

"The room was nice and spacious. Rooms were cleaned and restocked each day. I loved the central location with so many great things in walking distance. It was a quick walk to The Wharf for dinner options and a quick walk to many tourist spots. There is also a stop for the hop on, hop off bus right near the hotel"

"Clean, simple rooms. Friendly staff. Unique atmosphere. One downside is the hallways and elevators were SO warm. Not good when you're sweating before you step outside :) "
