Unique Family-Friendly Cabin: A Haven for Both Two and Four-Legged Guests

Experience the tranquility of Texas Hill Country with a stay at our charming cabin, conveniently located between Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Junction, and Mason, just outside the historic town of Harper. Whether you're yearning for a peaceful escape from urban life, planning a memorable girls' weekend, or seeking a central base for exploring the region's natural treasures, our property offers the perfect retreat.

Unwind in comfort and style as our cabin is fully equipped with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. With enough space to comfortably accommodate up to five guests (with room for a sixth), our open living room and kitchen area provide an inviting space for relaxation and bonding. The modern kitchen features everything you need, including a refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, microwave, coffee and Keurig maker, toaster, and more, ensuring you feel right at home. Retreat to the master bedroom furnished with a cozy queen-size bed, soft bedding, and ample storage. The second bedroom boasts a twin bunk bed, portable bassinet, dresser, and another TV connected to a DVD player, making it perfect for accommodating children or additional guests. Plus, the loft offers a charming sleeping area with a twin bed and small foldout sofa.

Indulge in relaxation in the bathroom with a shower/deep soaking bathtub combo, complete with plush towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer for your convenience. Wake up to the serene sounds of nature and enjoy your morning coffee outdoors while admiring the local wildlife, including deer and various bird species. Spend peaceful evenings under the starry sky, roasting s'mores over the firepit, and relishing the serenity of our little piece of paradise.

Our property, affectionately dubbed our little piece of paradise, holds a special place in our hearts. It served as a cherished retreat for several months while our primary home was under construction, providing countless memorable moments with our grandson. You truly can't go wrong here! Whether seeking respite from bustling city life to simply unwind or embarking on a Hill Country adventure to explore wineries, historic towns, and all the wonders this region offers, our cabin is undeniably a home away from home.

Additional Information:

Pets: Dog friendly

Children: Welcome

Location: 8.2 miles from downtown Harper

Outdoor Amenities: Grill, hammock, outdoor table & chairs, picnic table, firepit (subject to burn bans), outdoor lighting, s'more making kit, and 4 acres of scenic exploration.

Property Location: Situated on the back 4 acres of our 12-acre property, approximately 138ft behind our home, with a picturesque pasture view. Our home faces west, while the cabin faces north, ensuring privacy for both guests and hosts. Access to the cabin is via a separate road, ensuring your peace and privacy.

Note: Hunting is not permitted on the property.

Please keep in mind that you're renting a cozy cabin in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, where encounters with wildlife like snakes, deer, and raccoons are possible. If you decide to explore the four acres surrounding the cabin, we advise staying on designated trails and avoiding tall grass areas. Enjoy the serenity of nature, but stay vigilant and be cautious when driving at night, especially as deer tend to roam near roadsides.

Additionally, being in the countryside, you might come across various bugs, scorpions, and spiders. While we regularly employ pest control measures as well as personally treating the cabin in between, it's still possible to see some pest and bugs indoor. Rest assured, we do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The hosts were great. The cabin was so cute, very clean, had everything we needed. The stars, so many stars in the night sky! And flowers in every field. And deer everywhere. Such a wonderful place to stay.

Most Memorable Mother/Daughter Weekend
The girls and I chose this precious cabin and planned our weekend activities afterwards! Kelli and Will were the most gracious hosts - the cabin had everything we needed, was so comfortable and relaxing! The views were outstanding. Seeing deer and wildlife roam about added to our relaxing weekend. We highly recommend this sweet cabin for any one or group that wants to get away! It's the perfect distance from surrounding touristy spots!

Kelli and Will’s cabin is immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and absolutely lovely. We had a couple of unfortunate accidents and insisted we have a relaxing stay. Kelli is an amazing hostess (5⭐️). (We are sure will is too but had no interaction with him.). We would go again.

Amazing getaway
Kelli was a wonderful host. She truly thought of everything. This cabin is great for a peace and quiet get away. Great for star gazing and sitting around the fire pit. Full kitchen was a real plus. Also allowing one dog made it a true family vacation! Thank you so much.

Will & Kelli are fantastic, the cabin was well appointed and comfortable. It's a terrific spot on high elevation that was perfect for watching two big thunder-storms roll in on two different evenings. Also great for star-gazing and watching the 'super' moon rise during the time we were there. Will be back. The Longhorn Cafe in Harper was great for breakfast & lunch too!

Starry Nights and Tranquil Days
I had a most enjoyable time relaxing at a lovely place in the hill country of Texas. I visited Will and Kelli's Vrbo with my 90-year old dad and my nine month old dog. We loved the quiet of the environment and Taka loved to see/smell/dream of the deer wandering about. The outside of the cabin was basic; the inside, welcoming and nicely decorated. The pictures do it justice. All my cooking needs were accommodated and the cabin had a well-stocked pantry. Of the few questions we had, Will and Kelli were right on it. I most enjoyed sitting at the outside table with my dad and my dog and watching the spectacularly colorful sunsets. We were truly lucky when a rain shower left us with a double rainbow, two perfect arcs stretching from horizon to horizon, its beauty unparalleled. Such a treat for my dad! Highly recommend for a peaceful setting and gracious hosts.
